Not all at. Sex and desire are intrinsic parts of being human. Why suppress it?

I quoted the Scripture that PSacramento was looking for, Minimus.

    That's all.

Leaving married folks out of it...

What two consenting adults do is their business. I don't consider it immoral.

    Bringing married folks back in...

A married person hooking up with someone (physically, spirtually, emotionally) other than their spouse...that's immoral based on the fact that they broke a trust and promise.

Thanks Snowbird and unless we know for a fact that Paul was gay, to insinuate he was is uncalled for Jeff, not that there is anything wrong with being gay.

    ;)

I still have the brainwashed view deep down, for some reason, I find it hard, to consider two people living together as right, although I know I am using a mademade ruling. The deprogramming is going to take quite sometime.

I am not Christian. I subscribe more to the Buddhist view that there are not a bunch of rules set out by some moral authority we must follow; rather actions are either "skillful" or "unskillful" in that they either benifit or harm ourselves or others. I have been in the position of getting married as a virgin. I have also been in the position of having sex with a man I'm not married to (while I'm single--not referencing adultery). Based on my experience, I would say that having sexual relations before marriage is beneficial. Waiting until marriage to have sex can be very harmful.

My boyfriend is a Christian. I asked him how he reconciled the Bible's counsel against fornication with our activities. He says he believes that prohibition was in the Bible for the sake of any children that might be conceived. That it's the producing of children outside of a family structure and not the sex itself that is a problem. I'm a little dubious on his reasoning, but since I'm reaping the benefits I'm not about to complain.

My earlier comment was in regards to those not married, btw.

    History Of The Word "Fornication"

The word "fornication" was first recorded in Middle English around 1303. It comes from the Latin word "fornix," which literally means "a vault" or "an arch." So what does a vault or an arch have to do with committing fornication? At that particular time in Rome, prostitutes solicited customers in archways. It was like a red light district is today.

Furthermore, it's not just a coincidence that the Latin word "fornix" and the Greek word "porneia" both refer to prostitution. Whenever we see the word fornication in the New Testament, it came from the Greek word "porneia. The word "pornography" literally means "stories about prostitutes." It comes from the Greek root porneia

To me it comes down to lust vs love of the heart , commitment ,respect responsibilty vs none. I think the above quote and root history of these words tells you this. Again to me intent is everything...to say directly what I believe would be judgement..
