    out4good3 and farkel:

My wife was born in, not me. It wasn't a good footing for a decent headship deal marriage. I've been browbeat all my life, it seems. If you could actually get my wife to THINK once in a while and get off of her self-righteous, self-assured horse, and actually GIVE her that 45 minute talk, I'd love to be there to see it! In the meantime, I'm trying to maintain the relationship, such as it is, and not rock the boat in our marriage. Maybe I'm an "enabler?"

    Thanks for your thoughts.

I have had similar dscussions with my wife and she just gets mad at me.

However she is slowing down in her activity and her conscience does not bother

her like it used to. Any one with common sense can see that the WTBTS's

teaching are not based upon the Bible.

Reniaa ....The resurecction has started????Your back. I thought you said NO MORE!!

!I was so proud of your discussion with your wife .
But as others have mentioned go easy on all the "lies"
they have published..TOO much info can rock her boat a bit too much
I know when I left ( Kicked out)& found things out .I was shocked.
But your wife sounds like a reasonable gal,if her kids come first.
And she doesnt agree with the shunning,I sure miss my daughter
& grand-daughter & at MY age doubtful if I will ever see them again.
God be with you in the discussions,& I would agree PRAY for her to
    see the light........Blessings!!!!

Well, isn't that fortuitous. You know, two birds, one stone.

Altar Ego--No one can because mankind isn't. The ruins of cities have been discovered that are more than 6,000 years old, like Catal Huyuk in Turkey and if anyone wants to correct my spelling, please do! The standard answer is, of course, that radiometric dating can't be trusted. Which is nonsense, as a bit of clear-eyed research will quickly show.

    Forgive me for hijacking.

Well....... I've successfully faded....and continually bring these subjects up with my wife. But the issue for her runs WAYYY deeper. It's all about GUILT....parents, friends, siblings.

Even now she is constantly ruled by it.

Good luck to you...but be ready. This very well may be a lifelong journey out.
