    3) The announcement we can now make donations via plastic at the terminals in the lobby.

This is something that back in the 1980's was considered improper for Christians and was only associated with televangelists and the like. I remember a talk by a CO where he said something like "Jehovah does not want us slaving for him by slaving for a credit card company."

I guess that was "old" light.

    1) The nutty mother on stage with her little boy who became an unbaptized publisher at 6. I missed his current age, but he was a tiny little kid, couldn't be much older than a couple years over 6. Tomorrow he gets baptized.

That is pure immoral exploitation to do this to this very young child who intellectually who can not possibly totally comprehend

what he is doing. This inscription into slavery into the kingdom of the Watchtower Society at this young age is wrong on so many levels including scripturally

Humanity loses so many minds, hearts and lives to this kind of blatant exploitation.

To show how much brain washed indoctrination occurs at the typical Kingdom Hall, mature adults will be smiling with glee at this

production of insanity of what is happening to this innocent impressionable child........assholes

Had the credit card announcement at our DC and a couple of places in the stadium for doing this manned by a couple of sisters. No queues; no-one at all donating this way as I wandered by a few times! Good.

A couple of months ago I passed by and visited some of my JW stalwart friends.

The eldest son was listening toA$$embly talks from three years ago, and looking up the scriptures, when I arrived.

I just said "None of that is true anymore so why are you wasting time?" he looked at me as if I am Satan - But if he was up to speed on Da Troof, He would have known this anyways...

If they did, I wasn't paying attention. I did get there after the afternoon session started, so maybe I missed it. Today I got there right at lunch during the baptism to see my friend become corporate property of the WT. I left right after to eat and I got back after the program started again, so if it was announced then, I missed it yet again. There was one more break for song and announcements before today ended, but they didn't say anything about audio recordings. I usually sit down during the announcements and day dream while smacking a stick of gum around in my mouth, but tomorrow I'll make sure to keep an ear out for that particular announcement.

I wish I felt up to mentioning today's session in depth, but I feel so mentally drained from arguing in my head with what was said from the platform and trying to practice classifying which mind control tactic was being used in certain talks.

The afternoon satanic fear fest during the symposium was just awful. Some of the demonstrations were so cheesy, good vs evil and a couple seemed really sexist. One was two sisters talking about another sister who just became a pioneer and one of the sister's was acting catty, tearing the pioneer down, being negative (like Satan), while the other sister was happy for her. Another demonstration had one of Satan's evil worldly drones trying to seduce a married brother at his job. It appeared like Paul / Slobbering Body-like misogyny to me in that the subliminal message was women are gossiping loose moraled temptresses. Those over-acted parts mirrored 50's propaganda films. Oh, another part that annoyed me was 2 worldly girls teasing their Witless school mate about being gay because she won't date any guys. Later when the Witless was discussing the problem with her parents, she said how her school mates think she's been brainwashed in some cult. (Ever notice anyone who says something to that affect usually is actually in a cult?) Judging by the laughs and giggles, the audience ate all of that crap up with a smile.

While I'm on the subject of over-acting and cheese, for those of you who have had the displeasure of attending, what's up with that recorded bible reading for the story of Job? The voices of Jehovah and Satan were hysterically campy. The reading of Daniel in the lion's den creeped me out when Sister Loving who was sitting beside me let out an evil joyous cackle during the part about those who accused Daniel of wrong doing were thrown into the lion's den along with their wives and children. Her idea of porn is probably artistic renderings of people dying at Armageddon.

I doubt I'll get there early enough to hear tomorrow morning's session, which means I'll miss out on hearing the doomsday talk entitled, how to survive the end of the world. I kind of want to be there to hear it, just to make fun of it later. Oh, the morning symposium looks like a great load of crap I'll miss, too... At least I'll be there for the drama so my parents can apply the story to me. I hope this doesn't move people at my hall to start coming by here more often to harass me.

Alright, I'll stop rambling. I need to go do something else to empty today's trash out of my head... Thanks to the forum for being an outlet for my DC loathing, lol.

Rebel8 - donations to the WTS are not tax deductible, at least not in Australia. The government understands that the Watchtower is not a charity, as they do not assist the community, so refuse to register them as a charity for tax deductible purposes.

The no-distribution of audio is probably one of those "Gotcha" rules. They make no mention of it, but if anyone attempts to do it and gets caught, they are in for a lot of trouble. Not only will they be disfellowshipped, but the hounders are likely to attempt to get them for "copyright violations"--so that people in the territory (and the authorities) cannot realize the nefarious nature of the whole religion. And that goes especially for those who are hearing child custody cases--let them hear some of the experiences and goals of those 6-year-old, baptized children and see if they still want to award children to the witlesses.
