Ah Cool Hand Luke
You're one of the reasons I decided to come out of the closet and leave the JWs instead of killing myself. People just like you.
I am reminded daily that people really are full of love, and this world is too. You just have to know where to look for it.

This thread is boring me...
Can we post pictures of hot people now?
Edit: CHL, you know that is really sweet. I feel te same way you do in that labels are so blah 'cause I still find the ladiez hot and even though I identify as gay as I just dont feel like I can connect to a woman on an emotinal level like that. But... women are really beautiful and sweet and stuff. But it always feels good to hear from a straighty about being open and honest and stuff about who we are no matter what 'cause being queer sometimes you feel like you are somehow screwed up and weird for your feelings- mianly its the isolation one can fel at times.
*tears*
Anyways. So thanks. And Junction Guy, I do actually think you are a sweet man but sometimes I just think you are wasting so much time worry about labels and being loved and accepted that sometimes its as if you come across as if you don't love yourself an that makes me sad. I really don't agree with those who choose the 'pray the gay away' but some times (emphasis on the SOME TIMES) those people can be happy with themselves and thats the important thing in the end, politics aside. Sometimes I wonder if you are happy; even if you are straight and you could never find the 'perfect christian woman ('cause sadly she doesn't exist)f or yourself instead of just loving you, warts, back hair and all. That's why I think people hop on you because its like you are stuck and time is passing you by and have the black-and-white view of things and people and sexuality. You wanna be with a woman cool, but since you aren't the straightest arrow in the bundle have some sympathy for your fellow queers whether you identify with us or not since e identify on some level with you.
And more importantly- move on man and be happy and stop allowing the idea that you have to find somebody to be happy; you had somebody and weren't that happy, right? Be happy with JG. Or JG and God. or whatever. because if you were happy this thread? Wouldn't men sh*t to you.
Of course thats my opinion and hey I go home to a bunch of witnoids and pretend to 'care' in order to feel their conditional love, so I'm not one to judge you on wasting time. but that I understand you girl but seriously, let it go s people here really give a damn but can only take so much.
End of rant... now lets post pictures of people who would never have sex with us!

That's one of the most beautiful, open, honest posts I've ever read here. I don't know you coolhandluke, but I suspect you're one of those bright special people who would make anyone's life richer for having you in it.
I've no idea what happened to this thread and why it went as it did for so many pages; reading it all in one sitting was kind of like watching a train wreck in slow motion. So, I just felt a need to acknowledge this post and say GO YOU and thanks for sharing it. And congrats on being asked to stand up for your friend at his wedding (original topic anyone?). That's a sincere honor, and it sounds like your friend chose well. Thanks for acknowledging it. My friend is a good guy. He is always kind and when he asked me I felt honored. And for saying that I'm bright and special, I feel honored again. Thanks

On behalf of those that happen to be straighty and like vag, I thank you. You're not screwed up. All of us feel that isolation. I was writing to my mom that we all feel like we are amazingly unique snowflakes but really we're all made of the same ice, just different expressions of it. It reminds me of Fight Club "Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else." Its the human struggle and we're all doing the best we can. I think the most vital thing is that we knock down the walls of perceived seperation and embrace how similar we all really are. That'd be shangrilah, eh?

All I can say to that is "Preach my brotha, preach". The world is a better place that you chose to remain in it.
That was beautiful CHL, i totally agree with what you said.
Thanks. And of course you agree. That makes us both genius. HA!

Man, thats all we can do. Right?
Putting personal bias aside, he really is and does
