Who CONFIRMED the BIG announcement about the Book Study?

  Hello everyone. This seems to be the topic of the week, if not this year.

  Out of the many points and countless threads about this topic, many have been speculative and of the reminiscing sort. I was wondering how many CONFIRMATIONS we have about this. There were only a few that sounded like confirmations that I found posted on this site. There may have been more that I didn't find.

  How many of these confirmations are from JW sources? Some confirmations are only about a special announcement on April 27th. Some about a restructure of congregational meetings. Is that enough for you to say this change is legitimate regarding book study at private home elimination? Do we have anybody here, besides those listed above, who actually confirmed with an active JW Presiding Overseer about this annoucement?

  I just want to be sure of this. Nothing wrong with that. I do want to mention that this site does have an impeccable ability to catch and announce "confidential matters" before it is broadcasted publicly at the local Kingdom Halls and conventions/assemblies. That is one thing I like about JWD. If this so-called rumor is true, then my faith in JWD's forum arena will be heightened even more so.

  I'll wait, like everyone else, for Sunday April 27th to verify this. However, I still would like to have some other posters add to this list by mentioning that they confirmed this with an active JW elder.

  I agree. Thanks for posting that thread.

  Prior to this, the closest thing was believing that a friend of a friend heard it from a GB member. And that story didn't have a specific time line attached to it.

  Just re-read OOTB's post and saw a possible hole in it.

  Won't hold my breath since he often doesn't seem to have time to stick with a thread. (much like me)

  I would only state the old maxim, that 'where there is smoke there is fire', unless of course that fire is our own delusional conclusions. But it looks like enough info that something is happening - likely it is true from what I have seen in the past from this board.

  My mom confirmed. She sent an email to me and some other family members stating that the change will be announced Sunday. Since she is in and I didn't even mention it to her I have no reason to doubt it.

  Yep. I re-confirm it again. The rumor is true. After reading the posts in this forum (and being an unbeliever myself. Kind of a Saint Thomas wanna be), I decided to talk to the PO. I asked him directly about the group merging announcement. He stared at me with this "busted" face. And then, since he is cool with me, he asked me how did I know about it? This is supposed to be secret. Then he said: "Why I bother keeping it secret, if everybody knows". LOL. He was frustrated. So, yes. He confirmed it. I didn't explained how I learned about it, of course!
