What is so good about living in the Keys beside the weather?

The weather!!! That's it. We are still below freezing outside and there is some snow on the ground. It's hard to stay awake with little sunlight this time of year.

I would never live in Florida. Can't put my finger on why, but after spending about 25 summers there all I can say is it doesn't feel like "home". It feels rather "plastic", but that's just MHO.

However, my favorite place in Florida is Seaside, just east of Destin.

Try the Southwest coast. I live almost all the way down, in Naples. Great beaches, quality of living, weather in the winter, and low crime good schools etc. Marco Island is just south of here too.

Try another state. Florida is run like a 'third world country' and is way behind the rest of the US -about 20 years.

Unbelievable to live here.
