Saccharin Use Limited
?
The Food and Drug Administration has ordered limits on the use of saccharin, an artificial sweetener. The order removes it from the list of food additives generally recognized as safe. Preliminary evidence showed that rats developed bladder tumors when fed high levels of the sweetener. The FDA says saccharin intake should be limited to no more than one gram per day for a 155-pound person. The regulation is intended to restrict saccharin intake until testing is completed.*** g71 8/22 p. 31 Watching the World ***
Warning on Saccharin
?
A cancer researcher, Dr. George T. Bryan of the University of Wisconsin medical school, has warned that the sweetener known as saccharin is a potential cancer-causing agent. He thinks its use should be limited only to people who have a specific medical need for it, such as diabetics and the severely obese. He thinks its use should be restricted for the same reason that the cyclamate artificial sweeteners were banned. -

Sister Confused: So Brother Elder, with the recent question concerning caffeine, is it ok to drink root beer?
Brother Elder: What? You want to drink beer?
SC: No, root beer.
BE: Beer?
SC: ROOT Beer.
BE: Beer is the root of all evil.
SC: No, no, it's root beer, not beer. Is it ok to drink root beer?
BE: You seem to have issues with the Society's instructions. Let me quote from Hallucinations 4:12, "Abstain from free thnking." So, do you still want to drink beer?
SC: You've never heard of root beer? It's a soda, like coke, but made differently.
BE: You do coke?

Frickin' bunch of donuts, and to think some grade a donut with nothing better to do than ponders Jehovah's viewpoint on caffeine actually wrote to HQ because he/she was feeling confused. Probably some eager teenager, if I was his father I would smack him round the head and tell him to drink his expensive, double frothy caramel frothiccino and stop spoiling it for the rest of us
*having flashbacks of those eager beaver teenage dubs, always causing me grief they were, "You're drinking cider at the age of 17, you're stumbling me, I will tell Elder "do not have any qualifications to be a counseller but will do it anyway" Smith if you don't stop and prayer to jehovah for repentance*
