I never once questioned my decision to leave.

The Wanderer, what would I be second guessing if I didn't know prior to my knowledge about the truth about "The Truth"? There would be nothing for me to second guess. As I said, once I "knew" it was not the "Truth", I did not second guess myself.

In the first yers I remember I'd be pumping gas and a mini van of dubs would pull up. I'd think, Is Jehovah trying to tell me something?

It's that fear ingrained in every member.

Hmmm...well, I went from 30+ years of unhappiness to happiness in a short period of time. I would much rather have some happiness and then take a dirt nap (if that is my outcome) than live life under a Nazi-Elder regime now and in a paradise/hell governed by same. So, no doubts!

the understanding that you held some kind of
position of authority in the organization.

So, when you now say, I never second guess
the obvious regarding the organization it
raised some questions.

If an individual was in the organization for
any length of time and held a position in
the organization if he or she claimed that
they never once second guessed themselves
prior to or even after words I would find
that hard to believe.

In particular with the thread titled:
"Were You Ever Afraid That You Might've
Made The Wrong Decision In Leaving."

Granted, it may happen, however, I would
say that is more the exception than the
rule.

Regarding "second guessing", it's quite simple. ONCE I REALIZED IT WAS NOT THE TRUTH, I NEVER SECOND GUESSED MYSELF.

Perhaps minimus posed the question so that we could share with our lurking brothers and sisters our absolute confidence that we've made the right decision about abandoning the illusion that is JWism?
