Why does he still cling to the WTS
There are many JWs like this. They hold very dear a number of doctrinal teachings that they feel make Jehovah's Witnesses "the truth". They personally cannot accept that they are not as important as they think they are. When they see wickedness in the organization they find a way to rationalize it.
It's a technique that keeps them from having to actually dig deeper to see that not only the people are bad, but the teachings as well.
There's one story floating around on the net about a guy who was a good JW apologist. He eventually couldn't reconcile everything he was seeing. To work it all out he wrote a pamphlet called something like 'staying faithful in Jehovah's corrupt organization". Amazing how some love their doctrines and dogma so much and how far they are willing to go to keep them. -

Robert King used to post on this Board as 'You Know' while he was an active JW.
He railed at 'apostates' and almost everything else that did not fit his worldview. Sided politically with the insanity that is now defined as Rush Limbaugh. He prophesied the end of the system a few times, notably at the entry into a New Millenium. Prophesied the collapse of the World Economy, the EEC, Dolly Parton's bosom etc. etc. He was a rather interesting person in a sort of screaming at the Moon sort of way and not short of intelligence, but was/is/will be clearly delusional.
I once suggested to him that he would be disfellowshipped for apostasy and his spleen vented his left ear at a velocity that would have overtaken a diving Phantom jet fighter.
Who is the prophet now Robert?
