Ah, how nice. A Watchtower Apologist! Well, Brother "Mad" , since you ask about prophecies

( you know, those things that the Society proclaims that never come true?), here's a few:

They will eventually dump the Awake completely and use tracts almost exclusively in the door to

door work to save money. The Governing Body will have heated arguments with their own legal

staff about how to react to the gathering clouds of legal trouble facing them. Eventually, they will

be forced to reliquish direct control of congregations and the appointment of elders. More complaints

will be heard from ordinary publishers about distant, crowded and inconvenient district assemblies

and they will gradually shift these to assembly halls - to save money.

Then, they'll get sued by ordinary Witnesses who slip on assembly hall floors......

ha - ha indeed. Please pray for your Brooklyn/Paterson masters, so that they dig in their heels

and refuse to "compromise"on anything. I really want to see that happen! Please!

What else do you prophesy, O Mighty Prophet?

I always post my wild speculations about the future for WTS.

I expect people like MAD to hold me accountable for my speculations.
If you want to call them prophecies, then call WTS speculations prophecies.

If I am held to the same standard of expectation as WTS is held, then I should
be alright. Let's see- their prophecies have come true ZERO percent of the time.
How am I doing? Time will tell, but I doubt I will do worse than ZERO.

You could be right, RollerDave but for Witness kids the reaction will be the dim perception of a

boring, fanatical organization fading away - while they "hook up", play video games, text their secret

boyfriends , download porn and dream of leaving home.

If you are looking for a "Jenga" -style downfall, couple the above with their newfound liabilities,

and you've got an interesting situation.

Just imagine: You are part of the leadership of a vast, thinly stretched religion - and you suddenly

wake up to find out that you are now liable for the actions of every uneducated, window-

washing, "good old boy" elder in the US.

If that isn't a migraine headache, what is?

i think these few cases the wts is losing is a drop in the bucket to them. they offer a million or 2 to each of the 14 from napa valley molestors. it's going to take the IRS , the gov't, or some really hard hitting court cases. to really slow down the wts. it can happen but at the rate it's going now. i don't see it. not for 50 years

This will be true, but who cares about those characters. And besides, when Armageddon doesn't follow even some of those diehard people will start questioning.

If it costs about 70 million (US $) to run the organization ( per Yearbook), then a couple million per

14 victims is a sizeable amount.

Take a look at the pace of negative events hitting the Watchtower over the past decade or two:

No food service, no subscriptions, paperback Bibles, fewer books, downsized printing, laid-off

Bethelites, cutbacks in the Awake, cutbacks in the Watchtower ( in '08), selling off buildings,

getting hit with court expenses and million dollar settlements....

Faster and faster, the changes come.... and the old Theocrats don't know what to do about it

except hope that Armageddon saves their bacon ( see account in Luke about Jesus being told

by Satan that the "angels" will catch him if he jumps!)

metatron' i'm with you. i still think the wt has 100's of millions just in STOCKS. I feel even if they lose 100 million a year in court cases for the next 10 years . they will only be paying , the interest they are making . yes i see all the cut backs. the wt lawyers are even smarter than the gb. they are going to run with every$ they can get. just watch the wts will move off shore to the cayman islands etc. in the next 20 years. and the lawyers will steal most every dollar the gb ever saved. but the lawyers will save the gb's ass . while taking all the assets. i see something like this happening
