    4) Dune (I actually didn't much like the book-to-movie transition, neither version (1984 or 2000) did Frank Herbert's story justice, but I still have to include it...and for Trek fans, the 84 version has Patrick Stewart as Gurney Halleck.)

The Scifi Channel did a mini series of Dune that I think did justice to the book(s). I like the David Lynch Dune but I had read the book and could follow along lol.

I see a few peeps have already listed quite a few my favs, that's so cool. I'm not strange. lol

    1. Brazil - loved it, saw it at an art house movie theater in Berkeley Ca

    2. Metropolis - I like the version with the Queen score

    3. The Fifth Element - Scifi meets high fashion, very campy, loved Chris Tucker

    4. Star Wars

    5. The Empire Strikes Back

    6. Return of the Jedi

    7. The Forgotten - just came out in 2005 (I think) and you don't know it's Scifi til the middle of the movie. I thought it was good.
