Flyinghigh, you're getting a little too old school on me, but I think I understand the reference. Wasn't he the original guy who coined the phrase? Rolling Stone mag article?

John Kay is the founder of the band Steppenwolf. You know the song Born To Be Wild. "I like smoke and lightening. Heavy metal thunder!"

I tease Spectre about looking like the legend John Kay.

Woops, wrongsmilies. And I was only 10 or 11 then. I didn't understand his raw power in an adult way, but I knew I liked it.

If you're talkin' metal, don't forget Megadeth. One of their 80's songs that still fits today's world:

    Peace Sells

What do you mean I don't believe in God?
    Talk to him every day
What do you mean I don't support your system?
I go to court when I have to
What do you mean I can't get to work on time?
    Got nothing better to do
What do you mean I don't pay my bills?
Why do you think I'm broke? Huh?

    If there's a new way
I'll be the first in line
But, it better work this time

What do you mean I hurt your feelings?
I didn't know you had any feelings
What do you mean I ain't kind?
    Just not your kind
What do you mean I couldn't be President Of the United States of America?
Tell me something, it's still 'We the people', right?

    If there's a new way
I'll be the first in line
But, it better work this time

Can you put a price on peace?
Peace, peace sells, peace, peace sells
    Peace sells, but who's buying?

    Peace sells, but who's buying?
    No, no, no, no, no!
    Peace sells
    Peace sells

Oh, and Slayer's Reign in Blood.

Oh, and those were a couple of bands that didn't follow the glam, fashion, and make-up silliness of the 80's like most of the others. It was about heavy/speed metal and nothing else.
