MS, You say that at least the Witnesses have "standards". Their standards vary, depending upon who's listening. The Watchtower might tell the congregation that the elders are to be "merciful" in their dealings with wrongdoers. Yet they tell the elders in BOE letters NOT to be as merciful and instead it's better to err on the side of caution to keep the congregation clean and disfellowship someone rather than take a more merciful lenient approach................... THEY LIE!

This IS a very good thread, should I say so myself! Yes, the CO is THEE man! You'll see elders ONLY visit the elderly, tie loose ends, etc. because the big bad CO's in town. Then they revert right back to normalcy for 5 and a half months.
