That would make it congregation number three. I don't think we should push our luck. We'd have to move where the "need is great", like Tuktuk Island, JW congregation, six, total population 100. Or somewhere like that.

And for those of us suggesting appealing to the CO, that's for people with status. Hubby and I have no status with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Not that I am terribly concerned. Having status in the hall is like being the top fly of the dung heap.

jgnat; i understand your problem. and the mental state of your hubby. and i know how much research you have done. (i read lots of your posts). i'm thinking with your knowledge. now may be time to shift into high gear. and really work what you have learned. only you know when to press the peddle to the mettle. and when to coast. but the ball is in your court as i see it. don't let this chance pass. you may not get another. if you deal with any of these jw's on a personnal level. turn it into a fight. infront of your man , and let him see. how they treat you also. i've learned to never let a jw even let in a word edge wise. i;'m allways 5 steps ahead of them . never let them talk down to you or your husband. in your presents. you allway have to win the arguement with them. no matter what . you have a lot of power. now help your husband. . you can do it. john

He's off sulking again, so I'll have to try that later.

JG, I know you wrote this in your archived somewhere, but, why's he on restrictions? Is he making a comeback from being disfellowshipped? Or making a comeback from disassociating? Is he a criminal of some type?

Or have they identified you and know your posts here? Are they punishing you by punishing him since they can't get at you?

They really gotta be pissed at him.

garybuss: ***Jehovah's Witnesses told me to be a Jehovah's Witness one HAD to "witness". It was the "witnessing" that made one a Witness. The Jehovah's Witnesses are TELLING him they don't want him to "witness" and thus, they don't WANT him to be a Jehovah's Witness.***

Exactly. And if Armageddon should come along while he's sitting at home instead of out preaching the "good news," then his goose is cooked. Wouldn't that make the elders bloodguilty? And what about the potential "sheep" that may miss out on everlasting life because this brother was not allowed to witness? Sounds like even more bloodguilt to me. That's what makes me think none of them really believe it in their hearts.

The elders CAN'T believe in bloodguilt. I they did, all an inactive Witness would have to do is tell the elder, he's the reason they were stumbled, and bingo! He's bloodguilty and not qualified to be an elder any more.

    jgnat, are you Christian?

If so, maybe you can help him find the real Jesus of the Bible instead of the fake Jesus of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

JG, I know you wrote this in your archived somewhere, but, why's he on restrictions?

Restrictions from the preaching work these past four years, who knows? Nobody wants to be saddled with him? The restriction from commenting these past six months was for his confessed pre-marital fornicating from three years ago.

Is he making a comeback from being disfellowshipped? Or making a comeback from disassociating?

No and no. He's a returned fadeaway, for over five years now. His big offence is keeping his personal life private. And for confronting men for their bad behavior (gossip).

Is he a criminal of some type?

No, he just helps them look like bumbling fools.

Or have they identified you and know your posts here? Are they punishing you by punishing him since they can't get at you?

How does punishing him punish me? The crueller they are, the weaker their grip on him. I go to dinner and a movie more often.

They really gotta be pissed at him

    Yes they are, aren't they?

However, I have never heard of being restricted from field service without being disfellowshipped/disassociated.

I have and I know - beacuse I once did this to a publisher
