the bible says there would be a point in time called the last days the time of the end.when jehovah.would take action.at this time Jesus will judge as king of Gods kingdom.

    PMJ2,

The Watchtower Society misled many of us into thinking that "the last days" is a period connected with Christ's return. But Hebrews 1:2 says this: "God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son." Of course, if you read this in the New World Translation, you may note that it tries to hide the fact that the last days began in the first century.

But here is what Romans 13:11, 12, says: "[Do] this, too, because you people know the season, that it is already the hour for you to awake from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than at the time when we became believers. The night is well along; the day has drawn near." Verse 11 says that "it is already the hour."

And then, there's 1 Peter 4:7: "But the end of all things has drawn close. Be sound in mind, therefore, and be vigilant with a view to prayers."

"But," somebody will say, "the Bible speaks of a coming period called 'the last days'." JWs refer to 2 Timothy 3:1-5, where the Apostle Paul put it this way: "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

Notice that Paul was writing about people in his own day. He told Timothy that he himself should "turn away" from such people. And that sounds very much like the closing words of the first chapter of Romans, which speaks of a time of incredible inhumanity, when senseless violence will occur, when people will seemingly forsake all the normal strictures against injury to others and there will be crimes of incredible malice and evil. That time of Romans 1 was the first century, and those last days have continued down to our day.

The Watchtower Society says the last days began in 1914, but the Bible writer says they existed during the ministry of Jesus, when God spoke "to us by means of a Son." (Hebrews 1:2, New World Translation) WHO DO YOU BELIEVE, the Bible writer or the Watchtower Society? I prefer the Bible.

auldsoul your giving one side of the story.saying Jesus said at a hour that you do not think it.he also said look out for the signs and to keep on the watch.and that's what we are doing so obviously when we see these signs we are going to say the end is near.

The feet of the immense image only means NOW because the Govening Body says so, pmj2. That is exactly my point. Your head is filled with their interpretations (as is thirdwitness' head) and you two cannot logically separate JW interpretation of what the Bible says from what the Bible actually says. Your brain is locked by the organization to which you surrendered it.

frank your correct they did live in the last days.they lived in the last days of the Jewish system.but there would be a future judgement the time of the end.or are you saying the last days have come and gone.and there is no future judgement?now ask your self do you see what the bible says or do you only see what your own heart tells you.because you want the jws to be wrong so badly.

No, he said if anyone said it was near to ignore them. He said to keep on the watch so you would know when it was HERE, not near. Yet again you demonstrate that your brain can only repeat the interpretations of JWs, not what the Bible says.

The Bible Students were watching and were sure that the end was near in 1879. They determined that Jesus had returned invisibly in 1874 and was enthroned in heaven in 1878 and would bring about the end of the Gentile Times at Armageddon in 1914. They were sure they were living through the time of trouble (the Great Tribulation) from 1874 through 1914.

They taught this to people as truth.

1914 came and went. Rutherford decided the world HAD ended, invisibly, in 1914. And in 1918 started a campaign to tell everyone that "The World Has Ended—Millions Now Living Will Never Die". Anyone who was at least 20 years old that heard that talk in 1918 will be at least 108 years old this year. It was a lie. It was a hope held out to millions and it was a lie.

But the Bible Sudents would argue just as vehemently in favor of that lie in year 1922 as you and thirdwitness argue in favor of the current lies.

And still, you can't even Scripturally support your doctrines for baptism.

ok auldsoul.what period of time is the feet of the immense image? as seen as you have holy spirit and I'm wrong and your right show me?to me its obvious its talking about a period of time when God sets up the kingdom.but from what you say that time must of been in the first century.because to set up a kingdom you need a king.and according to you Jesus was king in the first century

    All except for this:

pmj2: ...and according to you Jesus was king in the first century.

According to the Bible he was king in the First Century.
