  Is the Watchtower organization filled with child molesters? Maybe not - but the Cano incident should make us think about an allied problem,

  namely, general corruption and rot.

  Many years ago, it was not unknown to find strange photos and other materials in a Bethel brother's room, after he died unexpectedly.

  That doesn't prove that there is a massive problem with child molestation. However, please consider that people generally don't become

  child molesters suddenly - or simply decide , one day, to take it up as a dangerous hobby!

  It will often involve many years of fighting with the problem and hiding it from others. If a man like Cano can exist and hide his 'real' self

  within the upper ranks of the organization, what does this tell us about the structure that the Watchtower has evolved into?

  What sort of behavior should we expect from Pharisees who put such unyielding emphasis on rules and numbers and outward pretensions

  of righteousness?

  Answer: rank hypocrisy

  What can we learn from the Cano incident?

  How many child molesters are hiding in the organization?

  How many adulterers?

  How many homosexuals?

  How many scam artists?

  How many thieves?

  How many porn addicted elders?

  How many ........ ( fill in the blank).

  If one man can hide such heinous behavior for so long, so successfully, what else is hidden?

  If one man can be so wildly hypocritical, what else is there, that we don't know about?

  I see Cano as the "tip of the iceberg' - there's much more hidden from your sight, underwater. It's just a matter of time before more spills

  out, for all to see.

  The same can be said for every person in a religious capacity that gets caught doing wrong. Hell, the Catholic Church is not known to be a pedophile organization. They are still strong. The "bad" priests were just disciplined or booted. They have rebounded pretty well,imo. When the BTK killer did his thing, his church affiliation was not the big deal. His church did not get hurt. It is understood that there can be bad apples anywhere.

  Even when you tell others that JEHOVAH KNOWS everything going on within the organization? Should there be a bad apple in his pure 'family'?

  You know, in the Org., there is an excuse for everything, from minor infractions, to serious issues like this one.

  Yes, there are bad apples EVERYWHERE! When a person outwardly appears to be someone he/she is not and the truth is made known, it can be quite a shock on a personal level. Especially if the person is someone close or someone we respect. Whether or not there is a God who knows everything, to my knowledge, he doesn't wipe people out with a bolt of lightning for their evil.

  Since the Cano case has become public it will be used as an example that evildoers will austerely be put out of the organisation and not covered up. The WT will be as alert as ever to prevent future scandals.

  Many secrets of the WTS have been exposed already and there is surly more to come. So far the WTS has been very cooperative with the authority’s investigation in this case and welcomed it (officially). What will the further investigation expose? Was Cano alone in this? Who knows? Will the dissatisfaction of top members or enmities between them boost more scandals? I believe it is the tip of the iceberg and the higher you go the worse it gets. In the future education and ‘new light’ will clash more fully. The multitude of scandals like these (which they cannot deny) will make a difference. Let’s see how this one develops.

  I agree about Cano being the tip of the iceberg.........

  I also agree with LDH.....Jehovah's Witnesses are to represent Jehovah........IF they have pedophiles.....that says the religion is full of hypocrites all the way to it's leaders...

  Homosexuals are definitely not equal to criminals and the like, whereas the bible does make them equally undeserving to inherit God’s kingdom (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10). Since JW claim to follow the bible and condemn homosexuals just the same, it is just as scandalous to find them at bethel. And it is known to many of us that there are lots of homosexuals at bethel.
