Mexico does not WANT to be better!
We do not need to throw our money into that dumpster of a country! (we don't need to throw it into the dumpster that is the middle east either!) Those people who are crossing the border need to get guns and KILL their 'leaders' who are abusing them and their country! For crying out loud MAN up and say hell no were not taking it anymore! No more corruption no more abuse! No more depriving people of basic human rights! WE WILL KILL YOU if you don't follow the mandates of the people! All democracy is founded on the blood of tyrants and corrupt leaders that is just how it is!
Why the HELL should we do it for them? Did Australia come fight our revolution? How about Russia? France? Poland? Brazil? This attitude that the US should fix it is half the freaking problem! Mexicans need to fix their OWN country!
Ok so that is my take on how to fix the problem IN mexico! Now about fixing the problem of illegals in this country! The only way to "fix" the illegal alien problem is to go after the people who are hiring illegals! It would be simple to fix if they really wanted to! Every time they catch an illegal alien working on a job they fine the owner of said job $10,000 for each illegal! If its a subcontractor they fine the sub 10k and the owner of whatever site he's on 10k! Ie; they catch 15 illegals on one job the fine is 150k for the sub and 150k for the owner of the site!
Here in Florida builders like SEDA, COPPENBARGER and KB (just to name a few) hire subs who hire subs who hire nothing but illegals but if they catch the illegals by the time they trace down the subs they are gone! So ok if you can't find the sub go right to the top! Fine Coppenbarger 10k for every illegal working on HIS site whether they are subs or not and this shit will stop RIGHT NOW!
Hit him with a 150k or 250k fine once or twice and see what happens! Be a hell of a lot more illegals looking for work that's for sure! Of course they will still come over for free hospital, welfare etc etc But until mexican's fix mexico that will be an issue! -

Umm yeah. I think Mexico did that less than a hundred years ago and it cost 25% of the population in terms of lives. Ever hear of Pancho Villa?
You know, the real "abuse" of modern Mexico started when the US seized over 40% of it's territory and I'm not counting Texas. I bet if we gave it back they would be in better shape economically and we would have fewer illegals to deal with.
Maybe they could irrigate their crops if we didn't use every drop of the Colorado, dam it up with the Hoover dam.
Maybe more Mexicans would immigrate legally if we didn't charge them a month's salary (non-refundable) just to APPLY for a visa to visit the US.
Dude, I'd be real careful with that terroristic language if you know what I mean. More than one person has gotten a home visit from very unhappy men after mentioning overthrowing american governments. I'm pretty sure all that is well covered under the Monroe Doctrine don't you know.

Nice to see you found and posted a review that is a good representation of the facts. It's so hard to cut through all the hate speech and self-interest crap these days that most people can no longer differentiate between right and wrong.
One thing I do disagree with is that the writer mentions racism between whites and darks in Mexico. I could give subjective observations but I'll just mention the following.
Mexico has had at least one black President, something that will never happen in the U.S.

As far as the writer goes, I would say that his opinion is typical of those that attended this rally. Once again, the photos shown on that site are not photos that the mainstream media wants you to see.
Again, try to remove yourself from your cloistered little community and get educated about the problem. Ignorance is prison, and educatin is freedom.

Wow - this is a heated topic. Here's my two cents: I'm against illegal immigration. However, there is a need for migrant workers in many industries especially agriculture in California; the economy of this state is dependant on migrant workers. As far as wages go a multi-year study at UCSD found that the impact is negligable on wages even to the poor economic classes. So there needs to be a system that balances the need for migrant workers and at the same time prevents illegal immigration. I had this (perhaps controversial) idea for the DWI - Go to the protests and find all the illegal imigrants waving the Mexican Flag or wrapping the Mexican flag around their bodies somehow and deport them to Mexico (this is the U.S. not Mexico after all)- then for the illegal immigrants that are waving the American flag automatically enroll them into a guest worker program that would enforce taxes are paid, make sure they get a fair wage (thus negating any possible negative effect on wages), and make sure they keep working. Additionally, they would be required to learn English.

Benito Juarez was Mexico's 1st indigenous, black Prez. He was elected and served while we were fighting our civil war. A Black was Prez there while there were still slaves in the U.S. and the writer of the page you posted claims color discrimination on the part of Mexicans.
That's pretty ironic.
