    Doc... Now I've got that "Going to Kenya" song stuck for good in my brain! That was so funny.

    I think the reason going outside is so hard is that depression makes you feel tired, and just to get the energy to go out the door is hard to conjure up. Sometimes to kick-start myself to do something I don't have much energy for, I tell myself "Just put away 10 things" or "Just do it for 10 minutes and you can be done." What usually happens is that after doing "10", I feel motivated and energized and wind up doing quite a bit more.

    So... give yourself a challenge to do "just 10" when you feel overwhelmed and know you need to do a particular thing. It does help get over that first hump.

    Really hope you are going to feel better soon, Luna. The outdoors is really beautiful today!

    You guys are great! Will definitely be implementing your suggestions. I feel better already....its the end of the day and I've got a smile on my face. Thank you all so much for helping me get through the day!.

    Eat very well for a week and do a physical activity twice a day. Do something new every day. Start a conversation with three strangers. Look up volunteer work in your area.
