for quick relieve take some paxil or xanax that will make your worries go away, you can recover from your lack of sleep, and then start doing all the other suggested activities.

Doctor...LMAO! I'm an idiot. The guys are having a meeting in the other office (attached to mine and my doors are open), and I blithely hit the link not realizing my sound was up so loud (new computer). Holy crap...couldn't find the volume control thingy, couldn't find my mouse...EEeek. They're all looking in here now. No, no, I'm not goofing around, really, just hit the wrong button...GAH!

flag, will take that under consideration too.

a nice walk/run and eating something you really enjoy, being around people who will make you smile or laugh, watch your favorite movie, get enough sleep, these help for me anyway, hope ya feel better soon!

I can only tell you what not to do. I deal with my low points with drink and it's completely the wrong thing to do. Leaves you really miserable afterwards and the longer you do it (i.e. years) the worse it gets. (sorry not my usual chirpy type of post!)

Spend 10 minutes thinking about what you are thankful for.

It's so easy in this life to concentrate on what we dont have, but when you actually sit down and dwell on what you do.. I find it can change my black mood into a grey one, and before I know it.. I'm singing again.

For starters, be thankful you recognise the truth about the 'truth' and just look here for all the people who care about you!

I am not being facetious, I understand being low and even depression, but I have found I can change my thought pattern if I really concentrate on it.

    thinking of you!

I have had a horrible couple of months and really started feeling quite depressed. Then the weather changed, the snow melted, the sun came out and I started work in the garden..................wow do I feel good. Im sleeping so much better and getting things into perspective. The winter has been long and hard and I think it takes it out on all of us. It can make us feel negative and isolated, so glad the spring is finally here!

How `s up for celebrating the spring..........................

Socialising in a give and take situation with agreeable people will allow a lot of pent up emotion also called steam sometimes to be released and that will do a lot to normalise the inner state. As long as there is some real emotional connection.

    Hey Luna,

Sorry to hear you have the blues. Spring tends to make people blue sometimes, which is odd because the weather is beautiful and flowers are blooming, etc. Transitional seasons like spring and fall are noted for causing people to feel depressed. I understand fall but not spring. Anyway, all the advice everyone gave was wonderful, like getting outside, walking, yoga, eating right, getting enough rest, watching a funny movie (Notting Hill or Doc Hollywood are two of my favorites) and of course, chocolate.... I am baking a german chocolate cake right now. Have been wanting to bake it for two weeks now and finally gave in today. Must be my form of self medicating as I've been feeling a little blue myself. Baking is also very therapeutic for me. And don't forget ringing up an old friend on the tele might help......you know I'm always available for a chat.
