    Hi Dan,

I noticed the pause too. I also noticed a pause in the second song (forget the title). I guess the words were too suggestive.

Well, Im not much of a stones fan, so for me.....yeah I thought they stunk. But I can relate to those of you who appreciated their attempts to appear younger then they are. LOL

not only is youth wasted on the young, but using the stones as an example, apparently age is wasted on the old...speaking of being wasted what do you think keith's drug of choice is these days? crestor, vitamin c, viagra...

( of the old enough to remember when class)

For being in their 60's I didn't think they were that bad.

I agree and they weren't THAT bad. We were commenting on the fact that Mick is 65 (or somewhere around there) and can move pretty well for someone that age.

However, I am pissed at the NFL for being so conservative for the past two years during their half times show. They really need to get over the Janet/Justin thing and go for someone a bit more popular. JMHO

PS I did not care for the way the national anthem was sung AT ALL!

We watched the game with our two eldest sons (39 and 42) and their wives. When the Stones were performing, the 42 year old said, "hey those guys are Dad's age, so not too bad". Dave is 62. I enjoyed the performance. Much better than Ashley Simpson last year.

Have to agree. I love Aretha Franklin, but she wasn't too good tonight. Aaron Neville sang like he was in pain. I like him but he definitely doesn't have the range for that song. Aretha does, but she was off tonight.

They sucked so bad. Outta key,Mick's fading voice

But I guess they've sucked since Sticky Fingers

Awe jeese don't pick on the old folks! You'll be one some day too......

I was a huge fan of the Stones when a I was a teenager and still have most of their albums (yes vinyl) I just wish I had a record player to play them on now that's some bad ass sounding music all those scratches in the sound.

Kudos to the Stones for keepin on keepin on, I did think they sounded aweful sorta like my old vinyl albums but hey they are still doing what they love to do and they get paid to do it! Good for them!

It's an unwinnable fight to try to defend or compare musical artists. My wife and I marvelled at the vitality of Mick. Much of Super Sunday was an emotional roller coaster. Aaron Neville & Aretha with the anthem. Stevie and Motown. John Madden. All of the above are folks we will be mourning in coming years. I couldn't care less about the two mediocre teams playing.
