I did runaway. Changed my name, took the 2 children and disappeared from everyone. I was also successful with it and no the problems did not follow me or show up. It was wonderful and well worth the effort it took. After 3-4 years I made contact with those whom I wanted to, and found they had a new and almost idolizing respect for me. Life has only been good since leaving jw family, (the only family I was allowed to know) and all those back-stabbing fine people in the congregation.
Speaking from experience, If you can do it and have the
cajones (sp?), I say it is waaaay worth it!
