Concerted attack on ex-JW websites

Well it looks like someone is going after us in the dissident ex-JW community, and JWStruggle is not the only one being hacked right now.

I cannot talk about all of it right now but I just got off the phone with someone that has confirmed it. If you have a blog or website that WT doesn't like back it up.

I can't get JWStruggle back online atm and I'm very web savvy, i've been buiolding websites since 1995 using notepad back in the day.

Whoever it is they have skill is what this tech person told me. More info as I get it... If anyone is a web tech or hacker please contact me if you want to help.

Is it DDOS or an actual hack of the website? Could just be wherever you are hosted is being targeted and you are collateral damage?

Yeah the denial of service attacks are pretty easy to do it you just browse online for a few days. Some ion cannon or something like that.

BTW, I wonder why no one has done that to jw.org yet?

Holy crap! You aren't suggesting hacking the Holy---JW.org. Where would the trendy. techie JW's go for the latest 'downloads'? I chuckle when I hear some of the brothers and sisters that check the JW.org website everyday (usually the pioneers) sort of brag about the latest stuff from the org. They like having the poop, I mean scoop first.

Was at the DC last wek in Long Beach, CA and heard Charles Sunutko give the baptism talk (surprised they still let him give convention parts). In his talk he told us the everyday his 82 year old wife goes to JW.org first thing in the morning and that would be a wonderful thing for the new baptism candidates to do also. Did he know that he Armageddon came in 1975 and that his 82 year old wife is just dreaming?

JWStruggle was hacked using a redirect script injected into the site's code somewhere.

Hi eyeuse2badub, what was the overall atendance on the day you attended and how many were baptized at the convention? I've heard anecdotal reports that numbers baptized are way down this year...

Hi RayPublisher, Have you contacted local law enforcement, the FBI, or the FCC about being hacked? I believe that hacking is a crime know matter who is being hacked.
