B-Rock - if you have no intention of answering any of my 5 questions resulting from your posts then just let me know and I'll drop it.
First question: Are you implying that the CIA stating there is scientific consensus is the same thing as there actually being scientific consensus?
Second question: Why have you chosen not to respond to my deconstruction of the Forbes/Washington Post half-truth misquotes?
Third question: Why the instant ad hominem? You are industrial strength grade A certifiable, buddy and Your dishonesty is boundless, isn't it, besty?
Fourth question: Why do you keep pasting more 'stuff' without answering my questions?
Fifth question : Are you now writing off the entire field of climate science as one big scam?

Why not just answer the questions instead of pasting internet pictures that amply demonstrate my point about being a mental midget? Don't you see the self-imolation inherent in your most recent 'response'?

This is an excellent article in the current Newsweek on the seriousness of climate change, actually calling for the possibility of 'civil resistance.'

    Why the instant ad hominem?

This from the poster that calls anyone that has a bit of skepticism a "mental midget". Pot, have you met kettle yet? Incidentally, my latest article, which I am working on as I write this post, will deal with one of the world's most important PV solar companies, along with an investment recommendation. I've just interviewed one of the experts on the field. There are thousands of readers that pay to read my opinion, and that invest accordingly, and, as a side benefit, will help fund this transformational technology, thereby enabling it. I find that enabling early stage transformational technology by publicizing it and helping fund it is a very exciting humanitarian side benefit to my work. And this is not the first time I've rec'ed Alt E, by the way. I've done nuclear fusion, thorium fission (no long term radioactivity and not weaponizable), as well as algae based biofuels. My printed opinion has diverted millions of investor dollars to these areas. I doubt anyone, including the watermelons on this thread, have done more than I have for Alt E. I may be a skeptic regarding AGW, but I do not fail to see the value in alternative energy. We don't need pseudoscience, fraud, and top down global control to justify alternative energy sources that also happen, as a side benefit, to be far more "carbon neutral."

    'civil resistance.'

Please do. And please put your money where your mouth is and eschew all fossil fuel based energy. You'll keep the fuel prices down for me.

I warn you, that if our sovereignty gets surrendered to an unaccountable foreign body, and that if those opposed decided upon civil resistance, that it would be far from bloodless. I for one, won't shed a tear if EPA branch offices start combusting and contributing to the general atmospheric mix.

BTS - I applaud your efforts in the field of non-fossil energy generation. Is it some king of email stock tipsheet you work on?

WRT the 'mental midget' comment this was not directed at any particular poster. Informed skepticism is fine by me, demonstrated by, for example, contributing your own original content to the thread. Layperson contrarianism in the face of overwhelming expert evidence is another matter. Combined with the point-blank refusal to engage in any meaningful debate and pasting internet photos of clown faces with abusive 40 point font, you tell me who is pot and who is kettle?

I have repeatedly requested straightforward answers to 5 simple questions - the failure to engage in followup dialog by B-Rock tells its own story - although it appears that beyond pasting right-wing political articles B-Rock has little else to offer the JWN community - it's not just me who has noticed and commented on this - check his posting history for yourself.

Climate Talks Spark Mass Protests, Arrests

COPENHAGEN (Dec. 12) -- Tens of thousands of protesters marched through the chilly Danish capital and nearly 1,000 were detained Saturday in a mass rally to demand an ambitious global climate pact, just as talks hit a snag over rich nations' demands on China and other emerging economies.

The mostly peaceful demonstrations in Copenhagen provided the centerpiece of a day of global climate activism stretching from Europe to Asia. Police assigned extra officers to watch protesters marching toward the suburban conference center to demand that leaders act now to fight climate change.

Police estimated their numbers at 40,000, while organizers said as many as 100,000 had joined the march from downtown Copenhagen. It ended with protesters holding aloft candles and torches as they swarmed by night outside the Bella Center where the 192-nation U.N. climate conference is being held.
