I definitely look like a worldly person by JW standards... however I went to my old hall because they are remodelling and they are in the final p[hase. It was not on purpose. I had bnusiness on the street and happened to drive past. My sister informed me that my dad was doing security there a few weeks ago so I thought I would roll by to get a glimpse of the old man. I have not seen him in forever. As I arrived there I decided to park and look at what was happening. The RBC was swarming all over the place. One brother says, "Hey there sir, would you like to take a look at what we are doing here?" I said "SURE". He gave me a hardhat and walked me around and started preaching about how it will improve the neighborhood.

I immediately said, "Won't it be great that no one will have to pay for these anymore? He looked at me as if I was crzy and asked me what I was talking about. I mentioned that a friend told me that soon you would not have to pay for a remodel anymore just donate what you could... he had no idea what I was talking about.

THEN SHIT HIT THE FAN. A brother I use to serve with came out and lliterally yelled "HES AN APOSTATE MACAIAH WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" The man looks at me like he just saw the devil before him. He literally just ran away and ran up to the brother. Then they both went in and closed the door. I stood there in the parking lot chuckling thinking, "Is anyone going to take this hardhat back?" I set it down by the tree and took a picture of the buildiong. Then I noticed my parents car was there. I gotcloser and my DAD was inside sleeping... a 75 year old man sleeping in his car in the florida sun while his apostate son gets a tour.

I thought about waking him up then I realized that they love the org more than me, so I left and went to ARBY's. Funny thing is, I didn't feel sad, or hurt. I just went about my business;. Hopefully this means the healing has begun

    HE IS AN APOSTATE!

They've just caught a live glimpse of el cuco, chupacabra, boogeyman, and every other demon wrapped up in your one body!

    Confused,

I wish I can meet you in person one day, your stories are sad but funny at the same time. I have a new hall that was just finished right before the memorial thanks to big J, it is in Riverview. Where is that other hall getting built?

    Hahahaha!

You should have asked the "brother" what he would do if the elders asked to examine his tax returns.

Great story. Sorry about your dad, though.

    Hey there,

I'm sorry about your family. My family lately has been proving to me that they love the org more than me too, so I know how that feels.

Bright side of your story...you made a grown man run away like a sissy for no real reason whatsoever, except their twisted definition of 'apostate'.

Just remember that you may be confused, but you're definitely not alone. Have a great weekend :)
