How about it folks? The date doesn't conflict with any other fest that I know of. City to be held in is totally open. We could have it in one of the burbs of Detroit, on the "west coast," Traverse City, Lansing, wherever. We could do a campground thing like the Cheesefest in WI. Ideas welcome.

A good name if there's auto racing. What about "Motownfest"? That way, you just need music.
What about Novi area? There is a camp dearborn in Milford (don't know much about it tho) Seems like there are some that would come from the east side and then we have you and a couple of others further west. Seems like (could be wrong) Novi or surrounding area would be a middle ground.
Motorfest works for me. I think I could make it.

Detroit isn't far, only half way from here to Wisconsin.
Novi is good, it's easy to find and not too far into Detroit.
Don't worry Butt, we're not taking the Cheesefest name. So is it "Motorfest" or "Motownfest?" Motorfest rolls off the tongue easier, but democracy rules here.
I figured the Detroit area would probably be the best. Southern part of the state and close to the Canadians by way of Windsor. Heck, how about Ann Arbor? We can show those U of M kids how to party.
