MAJOR CANADIAN TV SHOW TO DISCUSS JW CHILD

    ABUSE SCANDAL

This is to alert the JW world that a major TV documentary is set to go in Canada on the JW child sex abuse issue. This documentary will be aired coast to coast to coast in Canada and will be available to ALL Canadians and the world.

ATTENTION, residents of the USA! If you have DirecTV you can see the CBC Newsworld International broadcasts on DirecTV channel 366 - NWI.

This show is NOT just a re-hash of Dateline or the famous Vicki Boer v. Watch Tower trial that ran in September 2002. This television presentation is a serious, in depth, documentary that will deal with a number of Canadian and world-wide cases of abuse within the Jehovah's Witnesses as well major disclosures from Jehovah's Witness advocates (open and in silhouette) who have been expelled from the organization and some who are still in good standing.

The show takes on the Jehovah's Witnesses leadership and parent company (The Watchtower Society) and examines these questions:

    1. Are there really NO problems with the present and past practices of the Jehovah's Witnesses when dealing with child abuse as the leadership claims?
    2. Has there been something else going on that not only has destroyed the lives of Jehovah's Witness children but placed other Canadian children at considerable risk when some Jehovah's Witnesses engages in the door-to-door ministry?

The show will begin to receive "promos" on the full CBC network in the coming weeks and their Internet site. According to the producer, show ratings have been about 900,000 Canadians this year. However, further into the winter, and the more interesting and promoted, the show (as is the case here) can get

    up to 2 million viewers.

For further information on the CBC show, "The Fifth Estate" please check this URL:

Show Producers - Linda Guerriero and Leora Eisen

A number of people on this board and else where including CBC, have put a lot of money and time into this for Canadian and world-wide viewers. It is hoped that the this show along with other shows and court cases, both criminal and civil, will help bring about the needed changes to protect children from child abuse throughout the world.

Please note: We now have confirmation of the air-date and authorization to release it to the public by the shows Producers. However, as with anything, there is no guarantee that the show will air on this date. If times or dates change, we will alert you to the changes.

The Fifth Estate is similar in quality to the American 24 Hours. It has to be good. A few months ago I sent to the Fith Estate information of WT's "Sister Companies" (eg: Regi U.S., Rand Cam, Rand Energy Group Inc). I hope they used some of that info to set the background to their report concerning the WT's misleading and unloving practices.

I have friends in Canada; They'll videotape the show for me. For the rest of you, you can obtain a transcrip at:

CBC Transcripts and Tapes Back to
    Industry Services
Tape requests for all news, current affairs and Newsworld programming should go through Bowdens Media Monitoring.

If you need to confirm these details, please click here to contact Audience Relations.

The cost for a hour segment is $40 and up to 1-hour segment is $55 which includes shipping and handling. Delivery turnaround time is approximately 3 weeks.

Scully. Thank you for the heads up. I think Bob McKewon has it in for the WT. I don't know if you remember or not, but he did a documentary on Canadian Television about 10 or more years ago, before he jumped ship to the U.S. I think it was on CBC and could very well have been for the Fifth Estate. I remember it well, because after the cong. book study at my father in laws house, we rushed to the TV to watch the program. I don't think anyone left until it was over. I believe it was called " The Crumbling of the Watchtower". They had a graphic on the screen of a watchtower, [ not the WTBTS one, but close enough ] with a large crack through it and pieces crumbling away. Anyways I'm sure all JW TV's will be tuned in again, and let's hope it's just not them who are watching.
