JW buttons & BIG meeting cases!!!!
by DwainBowman ini can understand maybe wearing one of these out in fs, or at ca's & dc/ic, while out and about, but to the kh, come on who the heck are they trying to impress??
it looks so stupid for half the congregation to be wearing these things at most of the meeting.
oh and now when the circuit serpent, sorry servant, comes around it's even worse!!!

In another posting I saw a commit or two about BIG meeting bags. You can tell the really self important newly appointed MS's not too many years ago, the next meeting, they came in hauling one of these things with them. And of course the one's that wanted it really badly, already had one!!!
One congregation, there was a want to be so badly type, he had the BIGGEST catalog case known to mankind, and he had almost every JW books that was anywhere close to current in it. He would set alone on the front row, and have all his books and ton's of notes all spread out, in order of the meeting! He moaned about not being appointed all the time. He also worked 6 hours a night, so he could pioneer, 5 hours a day, every day, yup 150 hours a month. He was so creepy, it was scarey!!

Consolidating of Circuits Coming?
by The Searcher ini heard a local needs item last night which is not only adding different congregations to a different circuit, (to balance the numbers attending) but also moving all of the congs in that circuit from a relatively nearby rented venue to an assembly hall more than 4 times the distance away!
how loving of the glorious ones!
what a blessing they are giving to the flock!.

Look at the number of unused the a halls have now under the 1 day CA plan. It opens op more money for the borg. They don't care about the burden it adds to the sheeple!!!!! -

Do do do do do you remember..
by tim hooper indoes anyone else recall the big chart that hung at the front of every kingdom hall?.
it would be about 5 feet x 4 feet.
on the side of the chart, vertically listed, were the months of the year.

Yea I am old! Remember it well. I was about 8 when it was stopped!
Do you remember when the written review was taken up and graded! Some cong, would take them up, pass them to other people, then take them up and give them to the school conducter!

New forum 'parousia' is upon us! (software version)
by Simon inthe time has nearly come to switch over to the new forum software.
of course it's not completely finished yet (and never will be) but i think it's good enough to go live with and probably already better than the current one.
i'll give you a quick overview of what to expect and post more detail about the changeover process later.. cloud platform.

So what is a class 5 project?
It is one done to the highest standards. Paint & drywall, fit and finish, of everything to perfection. Drywall done to the point, not even the smallest defect can be seen or felt! Painting, sanded to ultra smooth finish between coats.
No exspense will be spared! All the labor needed will be provided!
All workers are being told NOTHING BUT THE BEST WILL DO! And it will be done the way it's directed, if you can't or won't do it that way, DON'T come!
WHY you ask?
These are to be the last Earthly home's of Christ brothers, and they deserve nothing but the BEST!
This was said at the volunteer meeting, and interviews, conducted, in N TX, and Oklahoma, in the past two weekends!
Now, what was that scripture, about the son of god not having a place to rest his head?

Elder Appointments
by MaybeSo indoing some research as to what qualifications someone needs to meet to become an elder, i came up with one conclusion: it's who you know and is very subjective.. funny thing is too, if you searc the wt online library there are not recent articles that describe and outline the requirements.
which makes me think that there were too many requirements and as we all know, it is based now on how close you are with the current co and not necessarily on being a model jw in the congo.
so the borg decided to leave it up all to the co and not tell the rest what to look for on these appointed men.. you could do your hours, be early to the meetings, be prepared, keep your car and house clean, family in good reputation, etc but if you are in the circle then you can forget it.

#1 BROWN nose the right people (not always)
#2 Make other elders in your hall look good! Brag on how well they help you reach out, etc!!!!!!!
#3 Look good on paper!
#4 BE SEEN OUT IN FS, AND TAKING THE LEAD IN DOING SO! (some how)
#5 Be ready to throw any thing you want to do away, the minute, they want you to do some thing no matter what! (would you run pick up they gum wraper I saw in the parking lot) <---- heard an elder telling a young MS that once! He had walked right past it on the way in, empty handed!!!
