I was 11 in 69, I remember the letter or two asking for money to help with the Financials to buy the Squibb building. And I so remember that letter being read!

I love this thread! I was really close to an elder, for years, and worked for him sometimes. We were so close, he often confided in me often. He hated the politics behind the curtain of unity, that all bodies of eldubs are required to profess to the sheeple's.
Some of things we talked about, should have opend my eyes long ago, but I was like everyone else, blind! One that now sticks out in my mind, is how often he warned me against, questioning anything about the borg, to others, but that I could always talk to him. That should have been enough to Open my eyes wide!
Someone earlier said their dad "stepped aside" as an eldub. Sadly this was and is one more borg enforced joke, to try and make it seem as if there are no "Classes" in the borg, that were all just equal sheeple! That's one of the biggest lies of all! I have known so many eldubs, and over the years I was taken into the back room twice, and informed me that I had been appointed, and turned it down. In one of those times, the two, but pointed out, how differnt it is to be included in their boys club, and how many advantages come with it! Just look at some of the powerful well connected eldubs, they iften get away with pretty much anything, as long as the stuff stays in the club. I saw some pretty powerful ones taken down after years of keeping other's quite, until somehow it started leaking out to the sheeple's. Even then, sometimes a few years later they are back, welcomed back to the club.
How many "Classes" are there?
The peon, publisher class.
The Aux, peon-neers*
The Reg, peon-neers*
The Bethellites - held out to be really special to the common sheeple's
The MS, Straw Boss peons
The Eldub's, the first class with any real powers.
The CO's
Above this point, it gets really shady, because there are so many different powers that be!
And on top, the gooberning body!
*These two groups, are really four, when you taken in the fact, male and female, are treated differently!

Dam it, I missed it!

and i am just so torn up over it, i've had a few drinks to drown my deep sorrow in, missing such a once in a lifetime event!.
oh how can i ever get over, such a lost opportunity like that, just don't know if i'll never get over it!.

You guys are great! My eldub, said I just can't believe you missed the first new history making jw event! My reply was, do you know how many, "history" makings jw events, I been to, that NO ONE remembers! I got the deer in the headlights stare!
How many, earth shaking, resolution, have so many of us set and clapped for over the past fifty years? Dose anyone remember a single one, past the dc being over? Except when they wrre rehashed in the wt!
And how about the so called pouring out of the 7 bowls, rutherford braged about, never amounted to anything, but to fill his pockets, and swell his head even more! How fitting they took place at an amusement park!

Two Year Delay in Building New KHs - What Is the Real Impact?

the rbc arrangement was officially announced as an arrangement that was ending in the united states branch territory in a letter on january 24, 2014 (although this letter is no longer listed on jw.org).
this means that 23 months have passed since the announcement of the ldc taking over and "acceleration" of kingdom hall builds.. what has happened in the meantime with kh construction?

My BIL eldub, is going to a fairwell rbc, hello ldc, meeting, fir all department heads and assistance. They are even to bring their wifes with them, for a party of some kind afterwards. He said they are supposed to learn all about the new ldc, and the team overseeing our area!
Anyway, that's what little I know!

My brother in law eldub, has all of his DVD, cable box, Roku, all set up in a small locked room. Along with his movie collection. He had problems in the past with CO & other eldubs snooping around, and trying to cause trouble. He has movies I never wanted to watch, even now!!!!

One DO serving in the south years ago, was doing the Host cong visit thing. The PO takes him out to the sisters place where he's to stay. (Very poor area) I would named names. but I won't, I will say this single German brother, wore lot's of gold, and extremely watches, and suite's. I spent three days working with him once) Anyway, he walks in looks around at this poor sisters little house, and turns for the door, saying, "THIS WILL NOT DO!!!) And leaves this poor little old sister crying her eyes out!!!! The PO get's out side as the DO spins out of the driveway. He drove to the nearest big city and rents the most costly room in town, and turns the bill over to the CO at the end of the week!!!!
