The state I live in had passed grandparents rights laws, snd they lasted untill someone fought it to the state supreme court. The law was thrown out! Few states allow such rights!

i am hoping someone may be able to give me some guidance on behalf of my son.
my ex-wife, who remains a jw, is threatening to go to court to get visitation with our 5 year old grandchild.
she had regular visits with our grandchild, but when my son (no longer a jw) and his wife (never a jw) found out that his mother was teaching their daughter the jw religion without their permission and even telling our grandchild not to tell their parents... well to say the least, that was a game-changer.

so fisherperson sent me a pm asking a bunch of questions re my time at beth hell.
rather than respond in a pm i will post the q/a here as i have nothing to hide.
q:what years did you serve in brooklyn bethel?
Hey guys, Did any of you know Duane Wilkie, he was in Brooklyn. How about Ron / Ronald Chambers. I used to know a couple of 100 in all. But so many have been sent away. One long time friend of mine, was interviewed on a ca part. He was all excited about how loving and wonderfully everything was at bethell during his 30+ years. And that it was just great to have been sent away as a special pioneer. I called him a couple of weeks ago. He said everything he said was BS, but if he didn't say it like he meant it, he would lose what little he had left!
I was invited to bethell, when I was 18, but was having health problems, and was not able to go. For years I regretted not getting to go. But have learned so much for so many, about the slavery that is called life, I thank god for not going!

i don't know how so many who seem to be certain this life is it after being jw's seem to happily accept it and be fine with it.
i am living and trying to live as if this is it.
i want there to be a future life/afterlife, something, but i see how fast life comes and goes and even if i'm living it to the fullest, there is no peace for me with the thought this may be it.
I would love to live forever right here on earth! There is so much to see, and learn!
But I would never want to live there in the shape I am in! I truly enjoy very little in life anymore! I am just too beat up, in most every way! I am not sure how much longer I will be able to walk! I for one HATE being a burden on anyone, even in small things!
I would be fine finding out my life was going to end today! I am sl very tired of the struggle! I want it to end!

in view of the conti verdict of negligence by the org, are elders who are selected by the c.o.
now in a precarious position?
"charity trustees face potential liabilities in a number of ways.
"hot topic on topix seems to be candace conti settlement.
but it's all quiet here.
are you guys aware that your hero, who was not in it for the money but to change policies, settled without changing anything?".
My elder brother in law, has hinted that there are some changes coming down the borg drain, dealing with the Sick-O's!
So I would guess all these lawsuits are changing things. We'll see whenever it hits!
as with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.
here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.
jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".
I was told, don't worry so much about school, time is short, the end is coming in just a few short years, quit school, pioneer, 75 is almost here!
I will be able to retire when I die! Well I won't be able to work that long, I am slowly losing the feelings in my feet and legs! I hope someone shoots me before I get to the totally dependent state!
Thanks so much JW.borg!
like the title says, i'm wondering if anyone here knows what instructions came with the new brochure about returning to jehovah.
did each person get a certain number at the convention?
are they to be handed out at will, up to each publisher's individual discretion?
omg...what a waste of a day.....my wife is in full cult mode.
we had one chair seperating us in the bleachers.
we did not talk on the way to and on the way from.
I just got back to the motel, and indeed it was horrible! Rock hard seats, no room to move, about 2, I went to the van, and stayed till it was over!
2 more days if hell!

i think a very simple reason may be because the very young are pretty much the only ones naive enough to take the plunge these days.
with the internet available to inform people about the deceptive lies printed by the wt corporation it seems that they are getting their member from the less informed population like the elderly and the very young.
they/gb hate higher education because they loose members who get one and so they are focusing on those that are dumb enough to believe their boogie man bull shit about jehovah choosing their corporation and anybody not a part of it he will destroyed at armageddon.. also we need to consider that they view these young people as a potential free labor source so the sooner you get them hooked into baptism with the threat of disfellowshipping you can get more free labor out of them..
yep, the cult fest is upon us....3 days of my life i will not get back....ughhhhhhhh.
and my wife has been slipping in to cult mode the last 2 days.....you know the look.
almost like a glazed over look with a side of guilt and a side of narrow mindedness.
I am with you! I am here at a motel waiting, wishing I could get out of it!
3 days setting in cheap hard, straight backed hell, 28 of them with no arms bolted together in row after %ow : (
