i don't know how so many who seem to be certain this life is it after being jw's seem to happily accept it and be fine with it.
i am living and trying to live as if this is it.
i want there to be a future life/afterlife, something, but i see how fast life comes and goes and even if i'm living it to the fullest, there is no peace for me with the thought this may be it.
I would love to live forever right here on earth! There is so much to see, and learn!
But I would never want to live there in the shape I am in! I truly enjoy very little in life anymore! I am just too beat up, in most every way! I am not sure how much longer I will be able to walk! I for one HATE being a burden on anyone, even in small things!
I would be fine finding out my life was going to end today! I am sl very tired of the struggle! I want it to end!

I just got back to the motel, and indeed it was horrible! Rock hard seats, no room to move, about 2, I went to the van, and stayed till it was over!

i think a very simple reason may be because the very young are pretty much the only ones naive enough to take the plunge these days.
with the internet available to inform people about the deceptive lies printed by the wt corporation it seems that they are getting their member from the less informed population like the elderly and the very young.
they/gb hate higher education because they loose members who get one and so they are focusing on those that are dumb enough to believe their boogie man bull shit about jehovah choosing their corporation and anybody not a part of it he will destroyed at armageddon.. also we need to consider that they view these young people as a potential free labor source so the sooner you get them hooked into baptism with the threat of disfellowshipping you can get more free labor out of them..

To be pardoned, dose not wipe the slate clean, but it brings an end to any and all legal action against a person or persons. But it dose not, totally wipe the record clean, like it never happened!
President Nixon, was pardoned for any and all crimes he may have committed during his term in office! It did not remove guilt, it just stopped the legal system from going after him, in any wsy!
A pardon, may also restore some or all civil privileges, that convictions may have removed!
If one is in prison or jail, a pardon would release one!
But again it dose not wipe the record clean!
i have noticed when an elder or ms gets in serious trouble, many times it's simply a demotion.
local example.
well liked ms son of a prominent elder/pioneer gets caught doing the dance with no pants with his fiancee.
In an area I used to live in, a large group of underage, kids all went out to the lake! The one elders son, and ms, pride of the congregation! Was 21, he went and got serval cases of beer! Well they all got drunk, and most also did the dancing in the sheets! It seem like 12 guys and 7 girls, involved! They were from 3 different congragation.
It all happened on a Friday night. Well elder boy,went straight to the elders Sunday morning, naming names, and listing, who did what, how many times, and with who! About half were dfed, the other half, less 1, were reproved! Elder boy was treated like a hero! He got his a few years later, when the one baby that came along really started looking like him, DNA test said yes! The poor girl was passed out drung when he pumped her, she had no ideal, who the daddy was!
