My oldest brother went to the big house back in 1970. He could not take it, and after six months called wanting to come home, my dad said NO! Hell NO! A month later he just left, with a dollar in his pocket. It took the great ones 3 weeks to call and inquire as to his wearabouts. That was the first we knew of him not being there, and they ask us not to tell anyone. It was 6 month's later that he showed up, at his best friends apartment. He had hicked hiked and bummed around, most of the southern half of the US, from the east coast, to the west. It took my dad a yaer to be civil to him. And the cong longer to stop acting like he was the biggest sinner of all times!!!!!

A question for my friends in the USA about cowboys.
by punkofnice inas a kid growing up in the uk we used to play 'cowboys and indians' and watch high chaparal and bonanza along with other cowboy films.
later, in the 70's kung fu would be shown with caine going through the 'old west'.
we even had a chocolate bar that was marketed with a 'cowboy' theme...milky bar.. as far as i know the 'wild west' as shown on tvdidn't actually exist.. are there people that believe it did?.

You have to watch the really old western, to get a some what realistic look at the cowboy era.
And as far as the cowboy presdent, the longer time goes on, the more truth comes out bit by bit, that he was not the idiot the news painted him to be. He was a gentaman, that for some missguided reason, felt it best not to respond to all the crap that was thrown at him. And sadly the more crap thrown without responce, the more people belive it to be true. Just look at what is there now, no matter if it's true or not, his gang is quick to respond and claim it's all lies, and because of doing that, a lot of people belive him no matter what. But cracks are really startting to take a toll on him and his bunch!!!

I had a pretty good LP collection, 300+. Until about 4 months after making the hugh mistake of getting married a 2nd time! I came home to a hugh bond fire in the back, and the so called wife, throwing the last arm load on the fire! She also trashed a $3,000 (1975 money) Lafayette Electronics 800w Quadrophonic stereo system! Anything close today would cost $25,000! She had been playing some of the LP's, and got to my autographed "Eagles Hotel California" only been played once to make a tape of. Well unknown to me, my first wife had hid a couple special pictures i had taken of her on a wonderful picknick! 120 of those LP's were autographed! I wanted to push her onto the fire!

Why do I keep reading here about a new "10 Hour Pioneer" arrangement?
by RubaDub inthere seems to be several discussions about a new 10 hour pioneer arrangement that was susposedly announced at the 2014 annual meeting.. i even called a couple who usually get invited each year and they said that there was nothing like that mentioned.
they just mentioned the "new" stuff had to do with the jw tv thing, the language app, the changes regarding gog of magog, the talents, the virgins, etc.
but absolutely nothing about 10 hour pioneers.. rub a dub.

Who knows what may be coming down the road, but as of now, it's not been made official! I have heard from a number of people that were there, and they all said it was not part of the program!

My hard core BIL, came back from an RBC project with a story about the tv setup. Supposedly they went to order the stuff for the stage setup, and said they needed to have it all in a short time. ( 2 weeks or months) but were told it would take 6 months at least. So they left and were in the car heading out, when the manager came running out. By "Devine intervention", he just received a phone call, another company had ordered everything they needed, but the color was a little off. Well that company had just filed for bankruptcy that morning, and everything was setting on the dock, plus another sign of the "Devine hand" if you take it, we'll discount it really well, for you!
I wonder if this same thing didn't happen to the Mormons???

When i heard about the gb's claim, and 1922, i knew that someone before had predicted the cell phone. It just took a few days to remember who. When it clicked, it took 30 seconds to find the Popular Mechanics & NYT's article, Based on an interview! I will post the link when i get to my real computer!
Have fun busting bubbles!
