i think possibly their are a few valid reasons for either options to this question ,depending on a number of factors .. such as how old you might be, how long you have devoted your life to the "truth" as you believed it .
?....how it may affect your mental/physical health and well being.?.
how it will affect your financial position in your life ,?
I love the question Smiddy.
And i'm in Oz.
And i cannot but attempt to address the 'dot points' Old enough to have been plucked out of education due to 1975. 23 years born in at that time and lasted till 34 yrs. At the risk of a psychological melt down i walked,,,,,, into the arms of the homosexual community that accepted me as a human being,,, that was an enlightenment. i am a hetro male of the species by the way. Given that i went on to enjoy life after the wt was brilliant. I moulded a life for me, i wallowed in the freedom that really exists apart from wt stalag 13. Ok, life as a single person can be lonely irrespective of any ecclesiastical views. but i moved forward and out of the restrictive mind controlling gb inspired fears, and i realised it was a dream never to come true. Now however (4 years ago) I've tried to have another shot at "making the truth my own" Ha Ha famous last words. Never good to be ignorant. I did the research after i was reinstated to get the bottom line. thats when the reality started to become evident. Goodness me !!!!! as it happens I dont have family relationships to deal with and I genuinely empathise with those that do. I have, however made some genuine friends during my 'return' and i worry for them given that I now know the 'bottom line' So for now i'm gonna play it cool and go with the flow and slowly help my friends to see the tatt. Tell Ya what Smiddy as you know ... stickin youre head in the sand does not work.

ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.
in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..
Yep wouldn't work.
How dey gonna keep da secret boys club in their own

So then,
Even if they cannot be "appointed" as a 'helper' certain tasks could be performed.
Could they for example be the cobe's helper or the service overseer helpers?
the eldub has say 3 'positions' but the female 'helpers' do the hard work???
Sound department 'helpers'? Heaven knows many do the stuff for older
computer illiterate and organisationally bereft males.
Dunno, juz wondering.

oh god!!
today's study is so full of classic manipulative comments..... i can't even begin to tear it apart.......... anyone want to start?.
Yep.
Where the hell does the bible say peter was thinking that james and john might get his spot????
Where the hell does the bible say that peter was the only one upset at the nepotistic scheme of james and john
to get the best seats in the temple by getting their mum (sooks) who happened to be jesus aunty to ask him?????
the bible says the 10 others got upset and so they should at the nepotistic little sooky bastards. Selfish????
They all got a dressing down after that not just peter. I like peter, he was cool, a dynamic apostle with a open and
honest personality.

Hey smiddy,
I've read the actual recommendations on this that are in place. An elder stated to me that
only appointed men were to get the wwcc. However the statutes require that volunteers
of any nature require one if there is a possibility of coming into unsupervised contact with children.
i.e. at the door, bible studies with minors etc. The statutes clearly name religious volunteers among others.
The card looks similar to the drivers licence and if you get the card for volunteering it has a V noted on it.
From memory I believe the volunteer wwcc cost is minimal and on the back of the card it states -
"The person identified on this card has passed a working with children check".
Followed by- "This card cannot be used to engage in child related work for profit or gain"
If you undertake employment you need to contact the authority and advise them of your employers details
and I believe the higher fee of $80.00 applies. It's issued by the Department Of Justice, Victoria.
The jw's are sticking their head in the sand on this one mate. Bottom line,,,,if you're a member of
a religious org. and you bang on doors you need one.
Just like when the do not knock stickers appeared,,,, The law clearly states that if the sticker does not
specify salespeople then the house holder has withdrawn the implied licence for you to knock, ( so piss off!!!!)
Then the aus branch eventually issued the letter basically stating the above, something like "respect the hh wishes"
The important thing is that reporting is now mandatory, (I'll have to double check,) and otoole and van wik (wt lawyers)
both said to the commission that if reporting abuse was mandatory then jw ministers would report it to the authorities.
