Off to Edinburgh With JWFacts.com cards

we are going to edinburgh today to see what's going at the festival, go out for a meal and probably see a show.. i have made up some cards with the jwfacts.com logo to hand to jws on the trolleys.

there is nothing on the cards part from the logo.

GB member visits Bolton--UK

ive pasted the following from a uk xjw facebook page.:.

i found out last night that thursday,just gone, a member of the gb came to rosehill congregation in bolton to tell them the gb will now be more active and a more prominent part of their lives, this is to build trust and make it so when they revel new direction in the future, people don't push against them and they follow them.

it's a long shot shot but what are the chances he will be at any other meeting in this district this sunday and how can i find out?.

My wife sees the lack of love and.. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

in the past few weeks, my wife has been seeing more and more the lack of love and caring from jws.

for example, she is organizing a "princess party" for our 4 year old daughter.

a couple of the parents have expressed reservations about this since they think princesses may be "too magical" even though we know they have been to disneyworld, and watch the disney channel.

Thanks for the update. I think you're doing fine. You don't really need advice you have thought things through yourself. None of us are perfects and at times you will make statements and put your foot in your mouth, pick yourself up and remember to only ask questions next time.......then do it all again.

Keep updating us, I hope for your daughters sake she gets to have a dress up party, my son had one, a princess and super hero party, all the kids dressed up and the had fun, we have all the photos, I hope she has her party.

Will reserrected Gays and Lesbians have to give up homosexuality in order to stay in the new system?

do jws believe that if a gay or lesbian is reserrected after the great trib he or she will have to give up homosexuality in order to live..

Could it be that Jehovah is punishing me for leaving his religion?

i know it's a completely absurd thing to say, but something happened to me today that triggered the old cult reaction.

my mind instantly lapsed back into that of a jw and for a split second i thought that because i wasn't doing jehovah things that jehovah's blessing had been removed from me and this is why my life seems to be running into so many dead-ends.

as a jw i attributed anything good happening to me to being the result of my being a good jw and dutifully doing everything the borg teaches.

Julia, I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. You are not a screw up at all. You have helped me loads with my exit. Your are a fabulous writer and your writing style and sentence strucutre is unique and a joy to read. that's why you have been so helpful.

Getting jobs in this economy is frightful, paying a mortgage is stressful too. My thoughts are with you, I hope you find something quick to help you with the mortgage. Just accept anything for now and be fussy when you can pay the bills, welfare in the UK doesn't pay a mortgage I doubt it will in Oz. Just accept the first paycheck that comes your way to keep a roof over your head.

Advice about going to Meetings...................oh why didn't I listen...LOL!!!!!

i have been back to meetings for a month now.

prepared for them all except for when i went on holiday.. todays wt is about jehovah's organisation, it's clear loaded language and manipulation through fear.

i am not perturbed by it in the least.

Thanks Hoab, I spoke to the practice managers and it's all resolved. Mainly cos I have stopped going to meetings now. Kate xx

But she just made me feel uncomfrtable, my intial request was to keep things simple and make things more comfortable for the two of us. I wasn't asking her what days she was in I was asking her what days she was off. It was a spur of the moment request, and I was shaking nervously when I approached her. It would not have mattered if I wasn't back at meetings, I would have boldly entered into friendly chit chat.

After some thought, I made the executive decision that meetings caused my anxiety and not going will help me to remain calm. I do not want to go into my doctors and be ignored by the CoBE, so I will not. I hate this shunning policy and will reamin friendly and chatty with her at all times.

You're right I should not actively ignore or avoid her, it's rude.
