I also moved out my family home and into an apartment. The move was a refreshing new start, but I had my mum with me it was an emotional time and good to have her there. She has never been a witness. Thanks for your story.

i was delighted to hear of adjustments news, but it did remind me of what i'm sure a lot go through when they leave, here's a little of my story:.
when i married as a jw, and when we moved there was always a team of willing volunteers happy to drive the van or move the furniture or decorate.
additonally when you get married you have a list of items people want to buy for you, even if some had odd taste we received lots of needed and wanted items, sometimes 2 or 3 of the same type.. as a da'd person, also seperated from my spouse i needed to move home.

a young jw i used to know (nice person), said within earshot to a non df'd ex jw he knew that his "..parents are up and down in the relationship and the elders(tm) are going to help.".
the non df'd ex jw said to me that he considered that after the elders(tm) get involved his parents were bound to split up.
the non df'd ex jw also commented: "what do elders know?
Lisa is right on the money. This is how elders help. It's nonsense. Kate xx
anybody remember hearing this?.
--.
is that comment in print anywhere?.
I remember hearing it, but I don't remember reading it in print but I read that much rubbish I could have. I was actually convinced that it was equivalent to higher education, thankfully now I am awake and can critically think and see the basci language and concepts in WT literature that make it very simple indeed.

hi everyone, im begining to notice patterns of mental issues in the congregations and among the witnesses as a group.
do you think this is a trend in the entire world or is it exagerated in this organization?.
.
Yes I think being in a cult causes depresssion. As a JW we were always pushed to do more and not getting enough rest. I am sure this messes with the brain and can cause depression. Stress can cause other mental disorders too, JWs are always stressed.

cashing in on death.
death is payday for the jehovah witnesses.
it's what they celebrate.
They do cash in from their elderly members and solicit them for funds constantly in the magazines. It's disgraceful. Kate xx
it's all about the money.
a simple business model.. .
.
Welcome Jehohovanomics, yes it's all about the money to give the GB their rock star life styles. Kate xx
it's big business laundering money through construction and improvements of a kingdom hall.
it's steady cash flow laundering money to maintain a kingdom hall.
donated labor from members is icing on the cake.
I agree they masquerade as a charity but don't ever give money to the needy. Just funnel it into projects like Temple Farm UK. Kate xx

This is a huge property development plan for a charity to be taking on. It just shows how financially corrupt they are. WT are just a property development company. Kate xx
this is an interesting article studying the growth/decline patterns of jw's.

that is the question for the next months ... i am 32 and i will turn 33 on december....i am freaking out!!!
my hubby and i have no children and we are not looking for one right now because im studying a masters.
i will finish subjects in june and after that i will write my thesis (6 more months).
My kids are my world to me. Life is like a pie chart full of different things we fill our life with and children can be one of those segments. At the moment you want more than can fit in your pie chart. You need to decide what is more important to you a career of family, most women struggle to balance both unless they had kids young, I was at uni when my daughter was 2yrs old. I could have a flourishing career now if it wasn't for packing it in for pioneering.
