i used to be very impressed with convention experiences regarding how worldly employers would hire jws because they were known as the most honest workers.
i was too indoctrinated to realise these were selective experiences, and there are plenty of experiences of jws being dishonest in the workforce.
i have received a couple recently by email.. i have cut quite a bit out of the following email i received so that the person and company cannot be indentified, but you will get the message.. .
One JW that worked for me, breached confidentiality and told the elders something that got me df'd and then she resigned. Some emplyees whether JW or not have their priorities mixed up. This one certainly did.
All the other JWs that worked for me were great, and some don't resign just cos I am Df'd. Some non JWs are terrible employees too.

Thanks jwfacts for this. More need to see that JWs can be a workplace disaster. We are all individuals, we should not generalise. Anyone else got any more examples?

Like many on this thread have already said it depends how we view God. Some atheists have expressed that if God were supposed to be omnipitent and benevolent, then his indifference is evil. But atheists in general don't even believe in God, so why philosophise about the type of God?
Personally I view God as a creator and just that. I don't see him as omnipitent or benevolent, so his indifference is no surprise to me. I credit him for a lot of beauty and pleasure in the world, but do not credit him for natural disasters or the evil of others, I am also loathed to blame Satan for all bad things. That was my JW line, and I don't like that excuse, it's just not satisfying.
I just don't think God has control over these things, or cares enough to make a difference. The fact that I believe he is there, has no bearing on my thoughts on suffering in this world. I think it's all seperate.

Hi kate ,, woukd you not agree that indifference by a theistic god of whom cofty is referring ( the one who is deemed as loving and concerned for his creations )is entireky different from animals or so called imperfect humans.- galaxie
I am afraid I don't agree. Indifference by anyone is not the same as purposeful harm. There is a lot of evil in this world, greed, selfishness and gaining pleasure form other's misery. None of this can be compared with simply being indifferent. Many are so wrapped up with their own little world they have no comprehension of the world around them, God is the same in my eyes, wrapped up in his world of creation to even be bothered about the ant that gets trodden on by the human.
It's a natural disaster for the ant, but the human, like God is indifferent to such a small impact in his life.

You can believe what ever you wish to believe, there are many Athiest vs God threads on this site and many more no doubt to come. I read a lot of them until I came to the conclusion about what I believe. I believe in a God who is a creator, but I don't believe he rewards or punishes humans. Some people stay undecided and reamain happy.
Doing lots of research helps one establish their beliefs.

That is an interesting perspective cofty, where do you draw the line at accountability? Lets take ants for example, they work hard live in a colony but they are indifferent to other ants suffering each ant is programmed to do it's job and nothing else.
Then the hampster, it's indifferent to the plight of the budgie being eaten by the cat.
Babies and children are often indifferent to one anothers suffering, even many human's are not interested in anyone beyond their own nose. Are all these insects, animals, humans classed as evil?
IMO I would say not evil but just indifferent. For me evilness is more classified with intentional acts to harm deliberately out of vengence, anger, malice and even pleasure. To me that is what evil stands for. Indifference is something comepletly different in my view.

france now has more than six million muslims.. germany now has four million muslims.
the netherlands has almost one million muslims .
The Political and religious leaders are the driving force of the conflict. There is no new Holocuast in the making, but there are a lot of ignorant people in the world with silly generalistic views of both Jews and Muslims. We are all individuals, so those who generalise have a problem, but happily they don't have the power to organise a whole new Holocuast. It will never happen again Smiddy.
