by suavojr innew book about the kingdom and jw's history.
they are pushing this overlapping generation and with this graph we can see how they have a short time before they are forced to adjust this "new light".

from "dby": " just threw out everthing last week but the silver sword. song book went by-by too."
The "silver sword" has changed only few weeks after presentation. They had some "little mistakes" in the first edition.
This was discussed here on the board.
The back cover picture from the song book has little changes.

What words has the WT redefined?
by Splash inthese days, virtually every public talk speaker thinks it's interesting and intellectual to include a dictionary definition of some word.
often the word is in common use and needs no explanation, such as 'exercise', or 'knowledge', or whatever.. now contrast that to all of the words that the wt has it's own meaning for, and referencing a dictionary for the common understanding of it would be viewed unfavourably.. words like 'generation' or 'men' (as in jesus is mediator between god and 'men' - 1tim 2:5-6).. what words have the wt redefined that you know about?
- i'd like to compile a list if possible.. splash.

This week's WT study...made me so sick.....
by stuckinarut2 inthis week's study april 15th 2014 was called "do you see the one who is invisible?".
it was perhaps one of the most depressing, controlling, fear-mongering, stress inducing, doctrinally incorrect, hate-inspiring, judgemental, cult-like, irrational, hyped-up, critical, crazy, stretched out, fanciful, illogical, burdensome, inflated, coersive, manipulative, and brain-snappingly weird stuff i have read for some time.... (but i'm sure it was just a rehash and repeat of previous stuff...for the new masses....).
i had to keep up a sane appearance while in the hall, and even answer some garbage while this was being 'studied'... my cognitive disonance must be so strong now, because i found this one of the hardest ones to endure....now that i am home, i have poured a stiff drink and am trying to clear my head...... one paragraph was classic:.

nice catch - but the sheep will say: It shows, how much the GB believes, that god will protect his people. ;-)
18 We need not waver in fear. Why not? Because Jehovah has foretold that attack on God’s people. He has also foretold the outcome. “‘On that day, the day when Gog invades the land of Israel,’ declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘my great rage will flare up. In my zeal, in the fire of my fury, I will speak.’” ( Ezek. 38:18-23 ) God will then destroy all those who want to harm Jehovah’s people. Your faith in the outcome of “the great and awe-inspiring day of Jehovah” will help you to “see the salvation of Jehovah” and to maintain your integrity.— Joel 2:31, 32 . Donation of blood fractions
by why144000 inthis may be the wrong area for this but here goes.. if you went to a bank and told them " i don't have an account with you, i never will have an account with you and i will tell people you are a terrible bank" then ask not for a loan from them, but a gift of a lot of money, how do you think they would respond?.
yet, witnesses now have the the ability to take blood fractions from the blood bank without ever contributing to the blood bank.
there is a process that the blood bank takes just the plasma from a donor to be used for fractions only.

@ mmxiv "By donating blood an apostate would save a JW's life but JW's refuse to save an apostate's life. So who's the good Samaritan?"
Easy - and perfect reasoning. I never saw this point. thx.

"The Bible - A Remarkable Story of Survival"
by Doug Mason inthe watchtower magazine of november 1, 2009 includes the article: the bible - a remarkable story of survival.
for support, the article quotes three sources.. does the watchtower provide its readers with balanced information?
does the watchtower provide a full and frank account of each source that it holds up as evidence?.

What has the WTS EVER "predicted" that has actually come true?
by integ inyou'd think they could point to something right?
obviously we're the one true religion".. i can't fathom how anyone of any intelligence would be willing to join up with this org after doing even rudimentary research.. for years they have taught that it's wrong to seek advanced education or to plan for a "worldly" future by trusting in this system of things and then this past sunday the watchtower article rips on people for not planning for the future in regard to their elderly relatives.
maybe if they hadn't been teaching for 100 yr's that the end was "just around the corner" and telling us we'd better believe that fact...or else, we would have planned better for a future that you said without reservation would not even occur.. what mind blowing prediction can they point to that would convince someone "oh yeah..these guys have it right"...?.

"The value of such a discussion is best appreciated when we acknowledge that trials that come with age cannot be avoided. Still, we can make certain preparations and advance decisions. "
