I'm not Catholic, but for some reason I've always had a lot of respect for the Pope, not for the Church so much, maybe the obligation the Pope carries for all his followers. It's a tough job and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Wedding Present: The Family Happiness book
by Nosferatu inmy mother told me that after i get married, she's going to give me the "family happiness" book.
i've never read the thing, but i know it's a wts publication that often gets given or mailed out to newlyweds who aren't in the troof.
what's your opinion of this "fine christian publication"?

Yea....as a Non-JW I got the Happiness Book & now we've added the Childrens 'Bible' to our collection of JW books. Eventually I'm going to go through each one with a fine toothed comb, make notes by the passages and return them to my parents. In the meantime they're next to my Book of Morman and Tibetian Books.

{{{{Tink}}} & kisses to you. You're growing up and this part just sucks. Standing up for how you feel isn't as easy as many people think and in the long run - go with your instincts and stick to it.

addiction to this board
by stillajwexelder in.
hey guys, hamas has admitted to me he could not keep away from this board -- this is actually a serious question -- i have found i have become addicted and just can not stay away or stop posting -- every morning and evening -- sometimes at lunchtime -- and certainly most weekends i come on this board -- am i normal?
is it just me and hamas or are there others out there addicted to simon's damn board?

Sad to say....I get to work, avoid my boss, log on and pretend not to look.....went cold turkey for a few weeks only because I got a new co-worker in my office, but with help from this board was able to get her out of here....and now I'm alone again with my computer and all of you..........
I'm not too sure what's going to happen when I resign my position...maybe get an upgrade on the puter at home and ingore my toddler for hours on end and remain on the board.....at least until my husband finds out and divorces me for neglecting our baby...oh did I mention I just gained another 100lbs from eating bon bons...the house is a disaster and I haven't left it for yet another month? Anyway, I would end up homeless, childless, husbandless and apparently computerless........UNLESS I go to a library and they let me get online......this plan may just work...........
Honestly, on a scale from 1-10 (10 as the most addicted) I'm a #5 (with #8 tendancies)

Great topic - For $ I coordinate events for the military. This is about 40+ hours. I have a little one who's almost 2 years old and she just keeps me going...and going....Weekends we try to get to as many free concerts, programs as possible and I am a netflix junkie. Our current favorite past time is feeding the pigons in the park while Rachael runs around. I love to travel, listen to music spend time with my family and friends and enjoy 'Being'.
