Why doesn't the WTS website have a discussion forum?
by Holey_Cheeses*King_of_the juice. insince the jws main mission in their miserable lives is to 'preach the good news of the kingdom', why is is that there is really no means to interact with the wts website?.
certainly, many pioneers could be engaged in the activity of answering the many enquiries that would be directed through such an 'official' discussion board, and it would definitely be a means for the pioneers of accumulating many precious hours of witnessing to those 'hungering for the truth'.. surely the society couldn't believe that such a site would be inundated with doubting and disgruntled individuals with an 'axe to grind' with them.
i am sure that there would be many members here who would have many sincere enquiries to make with the society, without wanting to disrupt, or harass.

coz regardless of the ups and downs, this place is a little like the family i lost.... sometimes i need to take a step back, have a break and some quiet time, but that's ok, too.. every blessing to everyone,.

Why Aren't Jehovah's Witnesses Allowed To Freely Express Themselves?
by minimus init's a simple fact.
jw's cannot freely express themselves.
they can't freely tell another about a doubt or a question that they might have for fear they could be exposed to the elders.

The society, from the governing body down to local elders, insists on being free to control the minds of others. This is incompatible with freedom of thought, which eventually leads to free expression on the part of rank and file members. They know that if members felt free to think for themselves, and express their thoughts, there would soon be no society. It would just fall apart, because mind control is the only thing that holds it all together.

Ever come close to blows with another witness?
by Dimples ini once went to a baby shower for a sister and planned on having a good time.
there were only sisters there and some brought their children.
the shower was held at a community center clubhouse.

If you could have written any piece of music what would it be?

I like to listen to Pachelbel's Canon before writing exams. It seems to calm my nerves. I can't read or write music, or play any instruments at all. But if I could have written something it would probably be The Gates of Delirium by Yes.

Why are Pioneers so obsessed with time?
by truthseeker indoes anyone have this experience.
in our cong, there are a lot of pioneers, i know most of them.
yet, all i hear when i ask how they are doing is that 'i need my time!

A lot of the pioneers in my first cong used to make it a practice to mooch meals from elderly sisters, and count their time while they were there eating. They figured it was ok to count their time since they were "encouraging" elderly ones.
