he was just being interviewed in england and they are treating him like some sort of god, they even said he's as popular as jesus!

MM is no more loved than other awful forms of music. I would say that people think that he is as popular as Jesus is just plain idiodic!

The same old 'shock' rock crap. Ozzy did it, and the parents freaked out. Now he's just some old man on too many prescription drugs and too much money.... MM needs a good hug, a cup of coacoa, and a night of listening to cats being spanked... LOL!

I remember his song 'beautiful people' playing in all the clubs, and everyone 'freaking out' dancing to it. Sure, it sounded good at the time, but now it just sucks.

i have to get on my soap box here...... i just found out that there is going to be a film called....alein vs predator.

what the hell is with that.. what is with hollywood and the american movie industry.

do they just love making crap or what!!!!

i am studying with the witnesess for over a yr now & finally today finished the knowledge book.

i came from a baptist church & since studying with this congregation have grown to appreciate them.

though i donot feel the need ot have the wt at the meetings i understand why the congregation uses them.

I do like the fact that they are very biblical in the since of studying all the time. Does anyone whom have studied & left for one reason or another, or others whom have studied & decided to convert over tell me postive stories how they impacted your life?

No demonination is perfect. That is an absolute truth.

Jehovahs Witnesses are not a denomination. They are a high-control religious group. Something different from main-stream religion.

A positive story about them? Yes, I studied, yes, I got baptized, seeking the cure for my depression, among other things. They only made it worse, worse, worse.

Positive stories... I, too, have none. Not one positive thing, other than I met a few interesting people and had a good laugh while I was in. Now that I'm out, I may as well be dead... or at least have crows pecking my eyeballs out.

I don't think that you will hear many positive stories, because this is what a typical 'dub' would call an apostate message board. Anyone who leaves 'the truth' is an apostate. So you will hear no 'good' stories. Unless you want lies.

Nothing compared to what you all have gone through... but...

I was made to feel ashamed of the skin that I was in. They pushed me down every meeting that I went to... it was always 'you're not good enough'...

I had one congregational member rip me off. There was nothing that I could do about it. He had done it to countless others too. It was some work that he had 'part time' that he never paid anyone for, LOL! Loser.

I had one elder grab my arm and squeeze it real hard... had it been a time when I was not seriously depressed, I would have knocked his block off.

I've been the subject of, like most here, complete and utter nonsense gossip.... something that I still can't believe happened.

That's about it. No molestation here.

how much harm did you cause to the people in your congregation?

everybody complains how the witnesses did this and that and in the process caused so much harm.

but what you don't say is how much pain you caused others while you were in.

They had so many sleepless nights with the pain we caused them, they cared so much for us that they didnt bother speaking to us again after we disagreed with them on a few small things

Yeah, i've already seen it. Not so good. Although the FX were pretty damn good.

Special effects...... big deal. They can do anything nowadaze with 'special effects'.... and I would hardly see anything like that piece of crap movie. I wouldn't even go if it was for free, or if it was on television.

Hollywood pumps out more garbage than hindi's. The level of 'movie entertainment' is disgusting! I can't recall seeing a good movie in 2 years.... from Hollywood. The best films are foreign.

I don't think they're increasing one bit.

If you take into account the population growth, they are not keeping up with they're percentage! Aucontraire; they are decreasing. To be 'increasing', they should have much more in the way of newly baptized ones and ones 'active' in the ministry.

In defense of Bill Bowen and Silent Lambs

after reading some of the comments against silent lambs, i thought i would respond back with my own topic.

anyway, i have met bill bowen in person at the silent lambs summit in nashville back in march.

i did not feel that he was arrogant in anyway or egotistical.he seemed to conduct that summit in a very professional way and really put together a good program.

If cruelty abounds with your friends and neighbours then there is something wrong. I'm sure that it doesn't; if it does, please exlain to me how it does.

I am talking about on-line personalities, not real life personalities. Everyone knows that we are different people when we talk to each other in real life. Message boards do not portray who you really are.
