Problem recieving Watchtower & Awake "again"

i posted earlier in the summer about some "racist" witnesses who told me that i could not recieve the watchtower & awake magazines, or attend the kingdom hall, because i was black & blacks were not able to understand the bible, "it was not for them".. i wrote a letter to the watchtower society & got a response!.

i moved out of that immediate area, a couple of towns(about 40 minutes away).

i contacted the watchtower society after moving here to have someone bring me the watchtower & awake.

There is 'the clan' in your area, for sure. Certainly there are low-lying, white trash losers that blame they're problems on nothing more than utter bullshit. That has nothing to do with the witnesses, however.

I really wouldn't get too riled up over it. The witnesses are baked at the best of times; what do you wanna read they're crap for anyways? Feel free to, but I'm just sayin' is all. I would take this as if it is 'the truth', then Jehobah doesn't want you, or me for that matter, because I dont' get that toilet paper either, LOL!

And for god's sake, don't pull a shamus and insinuate that this person is a troll, LOL! (re: comment, where is she?) That's my trip!

For the sake of sanity, I'll own up to it; I saw the thread, and remember it.

I remember loads of responses, but I personally don't believe it either. They're completely baked, but not that baked. I never, ever, ever saw one case of racism toward blacks, or whatever the politically correct terminology is these days. I only saw it toward people that were East Indian.

Why are ugly people bad?

when i was a pre-teen i became aware of how someone?s looks at birth made such an impact on their lives.

first by the fact that all the bad guys in movies were ugly and the good guys were handsome.

i would wonder why ugly people were bad or was it that bad people became ugly?

of cause, we do not know exactly what the paradise earth will look like, and the pictures published are simply artisic impressions based on such bible passages as isaiah 11:6--9.. nevertheless,one christian woman said:"when i see pictures of the coming paradise in the watchtower and awake!, i examine them closely, as one would a travel brochure.

i endeavor to see myself there because this is where i truly hope to be in god's due time.".

My mom smuggled a NWT into my house!

i went to visit some friends in san diego and my little one (2 1/2) stayed the night at my moms house so she could visit with grandma.

well when i picked her up she told me that she had taken her to "meeting" and that she had been a very good girl.

well i didnt want to make a big deal about taking her to meeting because i really needed some grown up time and it was nice for my mom to offer to take my daughter for the night.

I would be worried that she is taking your little one to meetings. Yes, let it slide, but she is exposed to propaganda like this:

I wouldn't call it harmless. It's from the 'learn fromt he great teacher' book. Pretty disturbing.

But again, letting it slide is ok. Next time you drop her off at grandma's, tell her NO MORE MEETINGS, no more BOOKS, thanks but no thanks.

Fearing the Pain

after the death of her witness father, a dear friend of ours told us her mother, in deep depression, said "this wasn't supposed to happen.the new system should have come by now" .

depression is not unique to this heart broken sister.

a witness in our old hall was out in service one day with four pioneer sisters.

You are applying depression to witlesses.

True, you can really see why they should be depressed. 100 percent, absolutely. Your prozac story does not hold water with me, however. I find that anti-depressants, that I've been on for over 10 years, does not do one thing for me if I forget one day. It's when I miss 3 days... that's when Ifeel it.

Funny... when I actually got help for my depression, the dubs were outta my life faster than you can imagine. I saw right through the bullshit immediately. Depression kept me there; getting help, despite being counselled not to, was what saved me.

You are applying those beliefs to just a few dubs. I completely agree that there is a serious mourning process that you must go through once you realize that 'the truth' is 'bullshit'. Everything that you've worked for, years of your life gone in an instant. That's why so many hang on; that's why so many go on anti-depressants nowadays.

Just keep in mind that depression is a clinical illness; the result of low seratonin levels in your brain. People cannot 'just get over it', no more than someone can ';get over' heart disease.

Reading : " The Vampire LeStat",,,,anyone eles like the Vampire Chronicles?

i am reading the anne rice novel " the vampire lestat", and it is quiet an interesting read.

i have always loved the old dracula movies, but being a good jw, felt such guilt if i watched "blood suckers".

i was just wondering if anyone eles has read the books about vampires writen by anne rice.

If you enjoy those books, try the Lasher series. It's The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos. It's incredibly bizarre, and telling you about it will give it away. I firmly believe that her books on Witches are far superior to her vampire series.

The buildup is tedious, and in one terse paragraph, she ends all speculation. An incredible read, and a MUST if you enjoy the vampire series. I challenge you to see if you don't find them more enjoyable. Every person that I've recommended them to have just loved them.

Of course it's just bullshit, so please don't go out and become a witch, LOL!
