  sorry for such a depressing question, but i was moved by a picture i saw of the consequences.

  ( a woman carrying her child) and i realised:-.

  a) it was a civillian population.. b) i don't see how a nuclear holocaust can ever be right.. c) they could have bombed tokyo where all the generals lived but chose hiroshima.. d) the irony after the bombing america conceeded to many of japans terms.. your opinion would be valued..

  You're absolutely right. We should just leave ISIS alone and let them continue to spread and kill more innocents, until they have the ability to carry out an event involving using a weapon of mass destruction.

  Bullshit.....even if it kills some innocents, if you have a chance to stop ISIS you stop them now. Do you actually think they will go away or quit killing people?

  my elder friend told me that his kh is in need of upgrading their electronic system so that they can be ready for the big zone meeting in november and they need the flat screen televisions mounted to also enjoy all future special meetings put on by the branch.

  the branch has given them the exact specifications and he mentioned the branch wants to use apple products.

  they passed a resolution for a one time donation by the publishers to pay for the $6,000.00 system.

  Germany, Japan & Italy were the aggressors in WWII, until the Allies started defeating them. Japan had killed millions of other asian peoples, and were killing Allied POW's. Germany had invaded Europe and was trying to destroy London. Nazi Germany was committing the holocaust against the Jews, and were trying to create atomic weapons first before the Allies. No doubt if Hitler did succeed in developing atomic bombs first he would have used them on England and the U.S. The Nazi's would probably have used Japan to drop atomic bombs on the west coast of the U.S.

  It's easy to look back and second guess the decisions to drop the 2 atomic bombs on Japan. I think the decision to use atomic bombs, which by the way was a join effort by the U.S. England & Canada was two fold.....to help end the war much quicker, and to send a message to Stalin. The important thing is that atomic weapons haven't been used since. I think the main threat nowdays in using atomic weapons of mass destruction is by a terrorist organization detonating an atomic weapon in a major western city somewhere, or against Israel.

  Seriously.......you have the perfect excuse to fade. Let them know you are really seriously offended about this and stop attending meetings. They will let you fade, because you caught the elder in a lie, called them all on it and they will be too prideful to admit they offended you. They won't bother you at all.

  A similar situation actually was the beginning of my leaving the cult.

  Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  I have to agree with Cofty , as a Brit the American knee jerk reaction to shoot scares the daylights out of me . I really do not think that I would like to visit a country where discharging a firearm seems to be a national pastime .

  What is this love of guns about ? They are made for one thing only -to kill.

  Despite just minutes earlier robbing a store and assaulting the store worker Michael Brown draws the attention of Officer Wilson by his walking in the middle of the road. In one video I seen, Brown's friend Johnson claimed the Officer told them to get the F out of the road. Johnson then claimed they told Officer Wilson that they would be at their destination in a minute, evidently meaning they will get out of the middle of the road when they got to where they were walking. A good law abiding citizen doesn't refuse to quit walking in the middle of the street when a police Officer tells them to get on the sidewalk, especially if that good law abiding citizen just robbed a store and assaulted a store worker.

  Yes, Michael Brown was tragically shot and killed. Officer Wilson had no previous reports of discipline, racism, or of being a bad cop. Officer Wilson was only in the neighborhood because he responded to a previous call there. Officer Wilson gave Michael Brown the opportunity to get out of the road and end any encounter between the two of them. Obviously something happened to escalate the incident. Officer Wilson ends up with severe facial injuries and Michael Brown ends up dead.

  With Michael Brown just robbing a store, intimidating and then assaulting the store worker......it's probably more likely that Michael Brown did something to escalate the incident with Officer Wilson after Wilson told him to get out of the middle of the street. More than likely Brown punched Wilson.

  The rioting is shameful when it looks more like Michael Brown was a thug who more than likely brought this on himself if he assaulted Officer Wilson first. The protesters chants of "hands up, don't shoot" don't seem to be based on true information of the account either.
