  i just wanted to take a moment and thank you for providing this forum.

  of course, i realize that it's intended purpose is to serve as a stumbling block for jehovah's witnesses, yet at the same time it also serves as a platform for me to defend my faith in a public forum.

  over the years i have appreciated the opportunity provided by this and other forums to confront and refute various challenges that apostates have presented to our precious faith.

  To summarize the verbose and boring ramblings in the thread you referred me to, you claim that Franz is a gossiper. The following is the definition of "lawless," as found at dictionary.com:

  law·less Pronunciation Key (lôls)adj.
  Unrestrained by law; unruly: a lawless mob.
  Contrary to the law; unlawful: the lawless slaughter of protected species.
  Not governed by law: the lawless frontier.

  So, You Know considers gossip to be unlawful, notwithstanding its prevalence within his cult. Check your state laws carefully, You Know, and you will find that gossip is not unlawful in any state in the USA. However, you will find that all states have laws that classify libel as a tort (civil wrong). You Know, you owe Ray Franz an apology and a retraction. Your failure to admit your wrongdoing and apologize for and retract the offending statement demonstrates your egotistical personality, as well as the absolute lack of basis for it.

  To date I can honestly boast that my apostate enemies have failed to present any challenge which I have not been able to refute using the word of my God. - - You Know

  I guess I must be one of You Know's apostate "friends," as opposed to enemies, since, to date, he has never been able to refute or defend my statements to him concerning the rampant child abuse and exploitation that is encouraged by the Watchtower cult he purports to be a member of.

  Recently, You Know referred to Ray Franz as "lawless":

  However, when I asked You Know to clarify for us which laws he is accusing Ray Franz of breaking, or retract what appears to be a libelous statement, he responded as follows:

  Is this what you call refuting a challenge, You Know?

  You Know doesn't even have the decency to retract a statement that appears libelous on its face. So, the message from You Know is that it's ok to lie about others, as long as the lie is told while you are advocating the Jehovah's Witness cult. A fine Christian message indeed.

  I may not know what time it is, but I have to laugh at someone who criticizes the grammar of others when their own grammar doesn't meet 8th grade standards. Did you drop out of school to pioneer?

  Apparently, you are also unable to recognize when someone is joking with you. You must be quite a social dud. Is the computer the sole source of your social interaction?

  The "barf" Bethel visit

  my jw daughter came over monday to tell me all about her visit to bethel!.

  first, she said how happy she felt and so very emotional when they took them, (a group of 8) to where the "twelve goberning body" held their meetings.

  she said: "mom, i got to see where they sit!".

  Makes me remember all the times we had an overseer over for dinner. My mom would scour the house, tell us to be on our ultra-good behavior.. then, when he and his wife came in, everyone rushed to get his seat, get a drink, etc. It was like having the king and queen of England over. Everything that came out of their mouths was greeted with 'oohs' and 'aahs'. - - Terafera

  Last time the circuit overseer came to my house (back when I lived with my parents and was 14 years old), he criticized my conduct and made threats regarding the consequences (i.e. disassociation) during lunch. I responded by asking him and his wife to "get the f&*k out of our house." Although I paid the price with dad for it, I really enjoyed doing it and have never regretted it.

  Congratulations on your success in entering the profession you desired as well as for your success in being a caring human being. It's too bad the Witnesses are unable to collectively elevate their consciousness to a level where they actually practice the forgiveness they preach about.
