I would just ask "Why am I doing this all of a sudden?", isn't that what the janitors are for? The best thing to do IMHO is to go to monster and pick a job. I actually got laid off from my job literally about a week from my wedding, there's always a temp agency that you can go to. If you're a specialized profession I wouldn't worry about it, seriously there's always more jobs out there.

"Fluff can be a good thing"
by codeblue inas i sit here reading new and old posts, catching up since my surgery, i began to think about this thought: "fluff can be a good thing".. .
i speak from experience: raised as a jw and conforming to all those studies of books that i never wanted to study but had too, i am feeling a little burnt out from such studies.. .
i guess because i have recently done research to confirm the "truth" isn't the truth as i learned it as a young girl, i am very turned off to any doctrinal study....now this could change later...but for now, i am very happy with light hearted posts...and always the newbies or any experiences people have had because of being a jw or anyone who has an interesting experience in life.. .

Oh I hate the deep doctrinal stuff, I never studied it when I was a witness and I don't want to start now. For me the actions spoke much louder than the words, a personal expirience of an elder abusing his power or most of the stuff on the silent lambs website makes me realize that I was in the wrong place, more than a thousand scriptures. I totally whole heartidly agree with you!

Can we talk Moonies...please!

i am going to see my brother and his family (the moonies) next week (they live in eastern germany) and i just became a bit anxious.
i spoke to my niece (she's 15) on the phone and she told me her uncle (on my brother's wife side, no one else in the family are moonies) has banned my brother from coming on his property.

I thought you were talking about those fat guy toys where you squeeze this tube and his pants drop. Sounds interesting, I'm sorry about the pardicament; I guess as long as your brother is happy that's all that matters. I guess it's a matter of just accepting that your brother has changed, there's no way you can make anyone do anything they don't want to. But if you want to try I would make the same suggestion as the others here, Steven Hasaan's site is excellent.

That was yesterday?!?! Whatever, sounds like I missed a great talk about the orginization with nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus and such. I'll miss the cake and ice cream afterwards, oh wait I was never invited to that kind of stuff so I won't miss a thing. What site made you leave...
by Tuesday ini was asked the other day when telling my story about leaving the witnesses when relating finally having the courage to type "jehovah witness" into the search bar on internet explorer and clicking around.
i was never into doctrine at all when i was a witness, i barely listened at all anyhow it was the comical sites that got me.
while freeminds was a great tool i was more influenced by the bethel cartoons on the site.

No I actually did type in Jehovah Witness not Jehovah's Witness or Witnesses for that matter because the plural is a narrower seach and it won't yield as many results.
