  Has anyone ever run into someone REALLY CREEPY while out in service?

  i know i've run into quite a few weirdos.

  i had one guy that told us that adolph hitler was going to come back from the dead to kill all jws.

  needless to say, he didn't want a copy of the watchtower!

  hey all,.

  i recently posted a topic on loosing it with my father, so some of you would know my nan isnt doing well.

  they finally got rid of the infection on monday we were all relieved.

  Often I would choose a book of the Bible and start reading. It was much more interesting than listing to the rhetoric from the Podium. Other times, I would daydream, balance my checkbook, take my kids to the back room and talk with other moms.

  whilst a jw, one thing that was evident to me was the constant gossip and backbiting.....being nice to someones face and then talking about them behind there backs.were you ever a "victim" of this sort of behaviour???

  is it as common as i suspect from cong.

  Constantly. Usually about my children. They were permitted to do homework at meetings. They were allowed to have worldly friends, I had costume parties for them once each year (some JWs attended, some didn't). Oh and I forgot until just now, They accused me of "Wearing The Pants In the Family" LOL!

  Do you think perhaps she has hung on as long as she has for you? Lord knows, she has endured so much emotional suffering with the loss of her son. Try not to be angry at her.

  I know the feeling. I remember when my oldest started attending College 127 miles away from home. I worried constantly and visited quite often. I even stayed overnight in his dorm once. :-)

  these sex laws have bothered me for some time.

  until coming here i was unaware of all the pedophilia problems in the org.

  the interesting thing about these two bible laws are that if a girl was engaged, and screamed during rape, the rapist only is executed.

  here's my take for one of the reasons: jw's perceive anyone who asks the wrong questions as a hater of jehovah and a persecuter.

  they think jesus had them in mind here: .

  john 17: 14. i have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as i am not of the world.
