  Favourite foreign languages?

  what foreign language or languages do you enjoy most listening to, though you may not be able to understand the words?

  i find several foreign languages pleasant to listen to, french with its refinement, italian with its sing song musical quality, and german with its coarse but resolute intonation.

  i also like the sound of russian and castillian spanish.

  I especially Enjoy how the Mexicans speak Spanish while they're working. It has a Musical Quality to it.

  Online Dating

  *sigh* i was seeing someone for several months, but it is not working out.

  so i went back to my only way of meeting men thus far--online dating sites.

  i have had some really cool experiences, but i think i am getting burnt out....if i read one more email from a guy that reads "u r booteful and i wud luv to chat with u and then maybe we go out and eat" (or my personal favorite today--"you are eye-popping"--i am busty and the current picture reveals that little fact) i think i will puke!

  My son Aaron met his Gal online a couple of years ago. She's from Indonesia, he currently lives in Texas. He went overseas at least three times to spend time with her in Person. She came here to Ohio in July. I like her very much. They seem like a good match. They were married at the end of July. I think it can work.

  Do you ever fear that they will kill you?

  i've heard the jws referred to on this site mostly as a cult.

  as such, am i the only one who fears that one day the society will tell them to eliminate all of us who have been deemed apostates?

  i can think of several of my old "friends" who would not hesitate to take me out.

  My husband likes Pre-Black Metallica. I like Post.

  What I find most interesting is my JW- (Now Elder) Son Turned me on to Metallica a few years ago. I still hold hope he'll begin to think for himself again some day.

  Mother Teresa doubted God's existence during her last years

  her personal diarys and letters have revealed she doubted gods reality and this in turn caused her to ask herself "is jesus true?

  " she no longer prayed right up until her death.

  in my opinion this in no way detracts from her being a wonderful, self sacrificing woman.

  Mother Teresa is probably the person I admire more than any other human being. This revelation doesn't change my opinion in any way. I wish I could have met her.

  Potty training kids and different views...

  when i was growing up, i remember my parents would put those plastic "cover" things over my sisters panties and put those protective sheets on the bed to help them with potty training.

  especially when they were doing great with using the potty on their own during the daytime.. my aunt in texas would beat her kids arses if they wet the bed.

  (now i do not agree with this way).

  I recall trying to use a Disposable Diaper in 1975 on my oldest son. It was really tough getting a Safety Pin through all those layers.:-) I don't remember sticky tabs. Perhaps they were there and I didn't know it.

  My mom got disfellowshipped.

  my mom called tonight to tell me that she got disfellowshipped!!!!.

  of course to me this is like the greatest news ever and to her its the worst ever so i'm seriously having a hard time being sympathetic.

  i just know this could mean she's out for good and it definately means i've got my mom back.
