if you had any doubts about the pitifully poor mental prowess of watchtower and jws in general then i'm sure this week's watchtower study (week of june 15-21, 2015) completely obliterated such doubts.

the study article (watchtower april 15, 2015, page 19: how real is your relationship with jehovah?

) was filled with blatantly fallacious reasoning that were outdone only by the more fallacious reasoning on the part of commenting jws.. the article, in paragraph 2, says this about a relationship with jehovah:.

a guy on there just posted this regarding changes to the way the jws volunteer at conventions in spain and the changes seem fairly major:.

we had a special meeting today called a training session for volunteers.

JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH

if you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.

its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.

there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

The order will soon come down from JW.tv to hunker down in KH, make dung cakes and wait for further orders from "Mother".

I suspect that George Lucas read the old "Babylon the Great has Fallen!" book, ate a pepperoni pizza to cure a hangover, then came up with the Star Wars idea. I mean, there are too many similarities between Star Wars concepts and WT lore such as:

Jedi Council- Governing Body

The Force- Holy Spirit

Sith Lord- Satan

Empire- King of the North

Republic- King of the South (iron and clay toes of the Daniel image)

Light Saber- Sword of the truth

Jedi Knight- Kingdom publisher

Padawan Learner- Bible student

Armageddon- Galactic Death Star battle

Please tell me that I'm not the only one that sees this.

Conti Appeal Preview - Oral Argument Jan 14

with hopefully a good deal of interest here in the conti appeal tomorrow (or later today, depending on where you are), i thought that on my ride home from work tonight i'd preview what to expect and what i think the key issues are for any who are interested.

i have had a busy few weeks and haven't had time to read everything, but i had some time to look at the appeal briefs during my work commute the past couple days.

it'll be interesting to see what develops out of the network news coverage of this case.

Did the elders make sister Conti go out in field service with the accused to show her willingness to forgive? If so, why didn't the lawyers bring this out? Publishers are typically "assigned" to cargroups by the elder/MS that take out the group.

No longer to use "house to house record" slips and "please follow up slips"!

a letter has just been read out indicating that effective immediately, witnesses are no longer to use the s-8 slip known as the "house to house" record slip, as well as the s-43 "please follow up" slip (usually used for foreign language people).. the letter stated that this is because of the changes in privacy laws etc that are becoming common in the world today.. i will try and get a copy of the full letter and post it asap.. .

The use of this form goes back to 1954 if memory serves me. I recall finding my old H2H forms with the names of needy souls long forgotten in the shuffle.

i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.

theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .

we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.
