I wonder how much they have paid to buy the silence of possibly hundreds of paedophile victims.

Where does all the money go?
by Coded Logic insome recent posts on this site have really got me thinking.
the kingdom halls are all paid for by their congregations - as are the assemblies and the conventions (none of it comes out of the wtbts pocket).
every single assembly and convention i have ever been to there is always a surplus of money that is sent back to the society.

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses
by Legacy inwt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.
now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.
i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

Recommend a YT upload, "Deception in the Name of Jehovah". (My cut and paste attempts always fail.)

One time something on here upset me so much I stayed away for 6 months. I thought about it and realised that although
my faith puts me in the minority camp on here I have just as much a right to post my views as a Christian as anyone else.
Hearing from all sides makes it what it is.
I have never wished to impose my beliefs on others and have never incited deliberate upset or been abusive.
That sucks.

It was gratifying to me to ponder that on the Tuesday night it was announced that the four of us (DA'd) were ...'no longer J..hovah's Witnesses' there would be
some who would gasp in disbelief BUT that one or two would be sat there silently thinking...'Oh I wish I had the guts to get out of here too'.

My jw mum threw us out.
by abbasgreta inmy brother (non-jw but became a christian 6 months ago) and i nursed my aged jw mother back to a semblance of strength over the last three weeks.. the elders were happy to pass the buck on to me, her da'd daughter and my bro.. he has been living with her for 3 months and has transformed her ill-kept home and garden and literally nursed her like a professional alone.
before i stepped in to help him care for her.
he repeatedly told her how much he loved her and was so caring, it brought a lump to my throat.. he has been going to church sunday mornings, telling her he 'was meeting up with friends' so as not to cause friction.but she knew where he had been.. we noticed a shift in her demeanour towards us (she knows i'm a church-goer) over the week-end and she started to.

Hortensia: Karl would forgive her if she hit him over the head with an empty whisky bottle. However, I have to keep
him well away from the elder brother - there is dangerous animosity lurking although he goes out of his
way to be civil with him. I wouldn't want Karl to end up being arrested for GBH - he hasn't forgot the vile assault
on him 27 years ago. Our elder brother must now make all the decisions - he has all her bank books in his
possession - we will let him deal with it alone. We're out of there now.

Sowhatnow: The elders in my mothers cong were all of the opinion that because I had DA'd and was not disfellowshipped
this allowed me access to care for her. I don't actually understand their thinking on this but wasn't going to argue
the point. Its all such a mess isn't it? How true that the 'thief has robbed, stolen and destroyed' our families.

Justin Welby - Archbishop of Canterbury says......
by quellycatface inthat sometimes he has doubts about god and why he allows so much evil and suffering in the world.. fair play to him.. can't see any members of the gb admitting that in public, or any of the eldurrs etc...... .

I wonder if he suffers from the odd bout of depression. His daughter suffers from clinical depression.
His baby daughter died in a car crash in France in around 1994 and he has never really got over it.
I'm sure he has people around him to support him spiritually. He needs that just like every other Anglican Christian
at times.

A rose by any other name..............
by sparrowdown ini'm curious, why and how did you choose your username?.
does it hold any special significance for you, is there a share-able back story?.
for me sparrowdown is a playful reference to matt 10:29 and the title of the movie black hawk down.. matt 10:29 was my go-to scrip to "prove" that god cares about us as individuals.

I wanted a new name to go along with my new life after I had a Christian baptism 18 months ago. Greta just(?) popped into my mind. I went with it
although I didn't care for it much. When I looked up the meaning there were two: Pearl and Born (or Child) of the Light.
Perfect.
You all know the meaning of Abba.

Joe: oops. Geography not my strongest point. Is there another County beginning with P near Wales?
