please join in sending your prayers, good thoughts, reiki, healing vibes, lighting a candle or just taking a moment to think of all those named and unnamed who are fighting cancer or in any other need.
also their loved ones and caregivers.. - has been fighting mantle cell lymphoma for three years.
he received an allogeneic cell transplant and his latest blood and bone marrow results have shown no trace of cancer!!
the driver was obviously being reckless and failing in his duty of care
And he was Scottish!
No. Entirely my fault. The vehicle was moving. I got a sore backside all for a bottle of lucozade!

I went to the hospital yesterday and was met at the door by the doctor I usually see in clinic when I have my blood taken. She told me that the CMV levels have risen again and that I may have to be readmitted! After going down from 9000 to 5000 they've risen again to 8000! The doctor further informed me that the up and down feature could be because I've been taken off the cyclosporin, which means the CMV won't start levelling out for another couple of days. I've actually been feeling very sleepy of late, which might be caused by the CMV. Today, however, I'm feeling better
My heart and blessings go out to ALL who are sick. We trawl the depths at times and live a roller-coaster existence, but our strength can see us through. Keep praying and receiving the forum's vibes and blessings or whatever else it is that brings you relief. But most of all, NEVER GIVE UP!
Love,
Ian
P.S. In the ambulance taking me back home yesterday I unbuckled my seat-belt because the bag I had placed at my feet fell over and a bottle of lucozade rolled out and went behind a seat. I got up to retrieve it, the ambulance jolted forward and I ended up on my a*se!

dear all (especially those in the uk),.
following on from danny's excellent post here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/16/128626/1.ashx i have just sent an e-mail to the charities commission.
some time ago i wrote to you about the dangers of jehovah's witnesses and how they don't deserve charity status because far from helping mankind they are a real danger to it.
This Commission has no guts! Here's the reply to me in relation to my post to them about the death of a young woman refusing a blood transfusion:
Our Ref.: ND/1077961/G6447 07 /LCD
Dear Mr Hinze
Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Britain (1077961)
Further to your recent correspondence, I can only advise in line with my original e-mail: the Commission has no evidence to suggest that the charity is failing to operate as a charity and that its charitable status should therefore be questioned. As long as a body continues to be registered as a charity, it is subject to a regulatory framework and , of course , the continued requirement to comply with charity law. The r egistration of a charity confers recognition of charitable purpose and not validation of spiritual belief. If you do have evidence relating to a link between the charity and the activity of paedophiles, you should contact the police in the first instance. If you have evidence to show that the charity has evaded tax, you should contact either the police, or Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC). HMRC's website is available at: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ The issue of teachings, interpretations of religious texts, and the prohibition of blood transfusions are doctrinal issues within the charity, which, as with other doctrinal issues in religious charities, we are not normally able to become involved in. In line with this, we cannot comment on whether there is scriptural support for the charity's position on the issue of blood transfusion. It is open to you to discuss issues such as this further with the charity. The charity correspondent 's details are available on our website at: http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/registeredcharities/showcharity.asp?chyno=1077961 Yours sincerely Nick Donaldson Senior Liaison Officer Large Charities Division (Bold type mine - Ian)

A woman was working in a post office in California.
One day she licked the envelopes and postage stamps instead of using a
sponge. That very day the lady found a cut on her tongue.
A week later, she noticed an abnormal swelling of her tongue. She went
to the doctor and they found nothing wrong. Her tongue was not sore or anything.
A couple of days later, her tongue started to swell more, and it began
to get really sore, so sore, that she could not eat.
She went back to the hospital, and demanded something be done. The
doctor took an x-ray of her tongue and noticed a lump.
He prepared her for minor surgery.
When the doctor cut her tongue open, a live cockroach crawled out!!!!
There were cockroach eggs on the seal of the envelope. The egg was
able to hatch inside of her tongue, because of her saliva.
It was warm and moist...
This is supposedly a true story reported on CNNAndy Hume wrote:
Hey, I used to work in an envelope factory. You wouldn't believe the
things that float around in those gum applicator trays. I haven't
licked an envelope for years!"
I used to work for a print shop(32 years ago) and we were told NEVER
to lick the envelopes. I never understood why until I had to go into
storage and pull out 2500 envelopes that were already printed and saw
several squads of cockroaches roaming around inside a couple of boxes
with eggs everywhere. They eat the glue on the envelopes.
Excellent succinct letter, Nic. Editors prefer such to-the-point letters and I'm particularly pleased you mentioned the Charities Commission. As you know, I pester the Commission every year to look into the JWs. Newspapers have a lot of clout and your letter may just help in opening up that research into the org that I keep asking the Commission to do.
Well done!
Ian

Well, the GB would find the above applies to them because they've been served so well at Brooklyn. Their living quarters, food and healthcare has been completely free.

Hi Blondie,
Apart from your tornado picture at the beginning of the thread all I'm seeing are red crosses. The photos haven't come out. Anyone else having this problem?
What I have learnt is that thinking about the past and worrying about the future robs us of the present.
