First it was date-line and watching how the victims are treated. Made me SICK! Then going to silentlambs website and seeing how huge a problem it is. Reading COC, then finding out from their own literature, ( you can find it in the WT 3/1/79 page 23 ) which states: the writings of the christian greek scriptures were inspired and infallible but that is not true of other writings since. That did it. Amost coming up on a year now, with NO regrets.

I've won tickets and a bus ride to a Journey concert back in 1983 from Fargo to Mpls.various records from radio stations in the early 80's and at Walmart I won a push lawnmower to which we still use.

we too had a graduation for our first born this year. I like the blue gowns you have, our sons school had red. His brothers called it his red dress. But when they were all together it did look nice. Our entire party afterward consisted of one set of grandparents, his one aunt (who is also his godmother when he was baptized before we came in the borg) and a cousin. We laugh as we told them all that all our friends dumped us and they were the extent of the party. They are happy for us in our decision.

i have the option of saying happy birthday or god bless you or even singing the happy birthday song.
example, my hubby (who was never a jw) is having a birthday today.
now, i have no problem celebrating with him.
In time you may or may not. I wasn't raised in it so I rarely ever say "bless you" to someone. I feel I have no position to be blessing anyone.
birthdays are easier and it's been fun singing away. I've known active JW's to sing it to their teens just to irritate them a little.
If you feel self consious, mouth the words or try it low key, or you can always opt to head for the bathroom at that time.

when i got home from work last night my son was there and i was suprise to see him because it was meeting night and everyone else was gone.
then his mother comes in hmmmmmm "did your son tell you what he has done?
" nope well he has been having sex with his girlfriend the baptized pioneer elders daughter yikes my son (not baptized) and her were girlfriend and boyfriend untill her daddy stop them from seeing each other.
LOL, we have a 15/16 year old who would love the go ahead. I just don't want to condon it but I also remember being 15. I guess thats why.

the other day i was watching "charlie's angel's" (the weekly series from the '70's) on tvland.
it dawned on me how much i used to wish they had aired that show any night but thursdays.
maybe twice a year, if i was too sick to go to the meeting i would get my hour to watch my favorite star...farrah!

my favorite all time band is Journey, and I recently just
won tickets on ebay to their concert and will be traveling 4 hours, because I missed them when they were in town. I didn't even know they have a new lead singer who is every bit as great as Perry. Music is something we had put on the backburner as Witnesses. Now it's almost a new obsession and I'm on their discussion board meeting people.
