suffolk police say the couple found dead in their nansemond river drive home wednesday were victims of a murder-suicide.. they have been identified as lucy celenia perry, 67, and her husband dennis joseph perry, 64.. autopsies showed dennis perry shot his wife before turning the gun on himself, city spokeswoman diana klink said in a press release.

Pretty sad. Breaks my heart actually, seeing so many of the older JW's getting sick and broke. My grandparents are almost 90 and barely get around anymore. When they came in the truth they were promised they would never grow old and die. But they are still faithful to this organization. Even called me to invite me to CO visit today. It has to somehow rock their faith that they are growing old and dying. My grandfather finally admitted to me he hopes he dies before Armageddon because hes to old to go through the times it describes. I wish I could mentally free him, but its all hes known for the last 75 years.

If this was a mercy killing, as it seems to be, I can just imagine them hoping for forgiveness as they went through their decision.

though it still depresses me to think of all the young ones (including my own relatives) falling under the influence of this dangerous piece of propaganda, it's at least some small comfort that the sparlock video is backfiring so dramatically among thinking non-jws.. .

designs - this "national conversation" is making this case about race which it should not. The "national conversation" is more likely to result in more ignorance and violence.

The media spins things whatever ways they want (to get ratings, and it worked) and millions of people made their minds up before this case was even brought to trial based on what they heard on twitter, facebook, and nancy grace. The state had their opportunity to present their evidence, and they clearly did not have the evidence to get a conviction. I would hope that if I was ever in a position that I had to defend my life, then stand trial for it, that my safety would not be at risk once I was deemed innocent. But because of the media, this guy is likely going to have to live in hiding for the rest of his life.

Wow, how many people arguing that justice was not served actually watched every minute of the trial? And I am pretty sure that no one commenting here was listening in on the hours of jury deliberation.

I found something in Watchtower literature I can agree with.

i ran across this excerpt from studies in the scriptures vol iv.

in it russell rails on as to why you should not tie youreself to any organization.

in a way he unknowingly predicts how the watchtower would turn against real "truth seekers" in their own organization, (quite possible the only prediction he ever got correct) and then goes on to show how the deluded witness just can't see how they can have a relationship with christ without a earthly organization.. .

I was just having a similar discussion with a family member about how "God has always had a visible organization." Hardly. The greatest examples in the bible of followers of God actually did not belong to organizations. Poor Job at the top of the list. I mean, his story actually starts off "Once upon a time in a land far, far away" but I am sure its not made up in any way. Either way, back on topic, The more you look at biblical examples of "organization" its usually to show how WRONG things went.

we think we were in a destructive cult (and we were ) however their is a far larger destructive cult by the name of islam./ muslim two young teenage girls killed because they were dancing and recording it on a mobile phone .they were not naked they were in traditional dress.it was reported to be an honour killing by a step brother......honour killings are rife with this religion.....genital mutilations of females are rife with this religion.....suicide bombings are rife with this religion .....,even killing fellow islamists of a different sect...a young girl is shot because she wants to promote an education for young girls...multiculturism in western society only advances the agenda of extremists of islam ,they use it to their advantage against the softer policys of freedom of democracy........political correctness is going to be on the headstone of democracy.......mark my words .

Yes, you are right, but that like telling someone who got stabbed that they could have also been shot. Sure, thats true, but I just got stabbed, so can I get to a hospital and deal with problem i got before it kills me?

What if JW.org Was Hacked?

what would the governing body do if their precious website were hacked and redirected to one such as this or jw struggle for hours or even days?

what if their site was hacked to expose ttatt on the front page, and their video content replaced by videos from people like thesnarkyapologist or danmera?.

what do you think the damage control strategy would be like?.

they would fix it and pretend it never happened. it would be a testimony to how satanic the evil apostates are. i dont think it alone would sway many. either way, its illegal.

just ron has received a couple of phone calls in the last few days from the rbc brother wanting him to come roof a kingdom hall.

now, just ron hasn't been to a meeting since december 2011, and certainly hasn't got a current volunteer form on file.

so i ask, are they desperate or just stupid?.
